If I could give less than 1 I would. Renting from Hertz had been one of the worst decisions I've made this year.
The store on Fall River never picks up the phone. When I went to pick up the car I had a reservation time. I got there early and the employee was helping someone else. When he was finished he stepped outside to meet his S/O in the parking lot. They made me wait 40 minutes before the were done. The car I got was on 1/2 a tank although the paperwork says it was full, and it reeked of cigarette smoke.
Anytime I've called the customer service they are straight up argumentative and some of them were hostile. They're trying to accuse me of being 14 days overdue, which is before I even got the rental. They refuse to listen and refuse to speak with your insurance.
I will never rent from Hertz again and will encourage others not to rent from this criminal organization.
Update: After I had to return the car because the employee in Fall River lied to me about pick-up, he accused me of smoking ( I have never smoked a day in my life) and returning the car without refilling it. He then denied that he was the one who rented the car to me. He absolutely should be fired.
Second update: They just stole $530 from me. I'm going to get the police involved.

Here waiting for my 8am pickup and no one is here. I got dropped off not thinking that no one would be here. I have been here 25 min and customer service has no numbers. Never again!!!! We have a business trip (5hr drive) that we need to get on the road for.

The building was falling apart, only one employee taking customers, and the wait was longer than it should be. The car it self was spacious but was covered in dirt and bird poop. The inside was clean but smelt of cigarettes. Luckily just needed it for a day trip. Won't go there again.

Horrible customer service,
the associate had zero service skills.He was rude and unprofessional. Needs to work on grooming himself. He smelled. They cancelled my reservation. I waited a 2 hours. He left the counter and went in back room. In the meantime 5 customers walked in store wondering where the associate was. Finally the manager walked in and serviced us. The car I finally got was so grungy and smelled. I will never rent from hertz again.

If you do not have a credit card, don't waste your time trying to rent a vehicle from here. All I can say is thank you Enterprise for helping me with transportation in my time of need
