Mechanic that worked on my car missed a major coolant leak, which is weird because he added coolant to my car, as noted on my invoice. Another garage said the original mechanic definitely should have noticed the issue. Now I'm spending an additional $300+ and a day having their mistake fixed. Sheer negligence. Avoid.

As a small business owner for the past 20 years I have never written a review, good or bad, about any business. Unfortunately I have to share the awful experience I had with Franklin Ford Service. In the past they have been OK except for the fact that they are way overpriced and take forever to get your vehicle in. That being said I had a "power steering assist" issue with my 2017 Ford Transit Connect and brought it to them about two weeks ago. They claim they hooked it up to the diagnostic machine and took it for a test drive to find nothing wrong. That cost me $185.00. I was relieved at the news nothing was found but as I was driving it home the "power steering assist" message came back on which makes the vehicle go into manual steering mode which is like wrestling a bear, even for a small truck.I reached back out to them and made an appointment for the following Wednesday, six day later, and could not drive the truck that whole time. Believe me, I get it. Stuff happens to vehicles but this truck only has 54,000 miles on it and I've already had transmission issues as well as the steering issue. The repairs just on those issues are worth more than half the value of the truck.Franklin Ford gets back to me with an estimate to repair the steering for $2800.00, yikes! What can I do, it needs to be fixed so I tell them to go ahead. I get a call that afternoon and the truck is ready. I go down and pay and to their credit it came in under the $2800.00 by around $250.00. I guess they felt sorry for me owning a lemon. I couldn't get the truck home till the following morning so I pick it up first thing and as I'm driving it off the lot it sounds like the tires are going to fall off even when I run over a pebble. I immediately call them and bring it back. A little later I get the call that my sway bar links need to be replaced. Unbelievable, but both went bad at the same time right after I had the rack and pinion assembly replaced and a front end alignment. They tell me its going to cost me $350.00! I tell them that they broke it and I'm not paying anything. They tell me that I must have broken it. At this point I'm going out of my mind! They tell me it would be much more but they're only charging me for the parts, like they're doing me a favor. How about you guys broke it and fix it right? The part that really bugs me is that they let me drive the truck off the lot with that issue which could have led to an accident. I don't even think they took it for a test drive after the repair because clearly if they did they would have noticed the "loud clunking" coming from the front end. Don't they think that if it was making that loud noise I would have mentioned it?I spoke to another mechanic and he told me the chances of both sway bar links breaking at the same time is almost impossible and that it could have and probably did happen during the repair or alignment.Bottom line, stay away from this shop! They only care about money and don't care at all about your safety. I will never bring my vehicle back to them even if that means bringing it to the junk yard first. They should be ashamed of themselves for trying to blame me for something they broke. I've always been a loyal Ford owner but after this experience with the quality and service of this vehicle and especially Franklin Ford I will never buy another Ford anything.

Avoid this service center. Overcharged for labor, then when I drove off the lot I felt something wrong immediately. Brought it back and it turns out they neglected to use a necessary bracket on a new motor mount. Tech said it was too hard to remove so he didn’t install it. So the motor was improperly mounted and they let me drive it away. I had to show the tech a YouTube video on how to remove the old bracket and install it with the new mount. Disorganized, shoddy work, and definitely giving scammy vibes

One word, "Horrible" They would not allow me to buy a van unless I took out a loan through them. Will not except cash or checks for a purchase. Ended up getting the financing through them because it is very hard to find a low milage pre owned van right now never mind new! When I finally got the Transit 250 van after it was sent to have a ladder rack installed, there were literally plastic panels on the exterior falling off. All the clips had been broken out of the metal body of the truck. Also other missing pieces on the body. That is just the half of what happened to it after I looked at it for purchase. Went back to tell the dealer and they just told me they sell their pre owned trucks as is and there was no way they could order the parts I needed. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS FORD DEALERSHIP!

I was looking for a used Ford Explorer. The sales team was obsequious until I found what I wanted at another Ford dealership. I guess they were butt hurt because when I let them know I purchased from the other dealer AND thanking them for their professionalism I got radio silence. No "congratulations on your purchase", no "can we service your new ride", no "thanks for buying a Ford". Nothing. I thanked them for their (what I thought was) professionalism but turns out they're just self centered butt hurt typical salesmen. I'm skeptical trusting any of them. The owner of Franklin Ford should train these robots to be more human. Too bad, shame on them. Not going to send any recommendations their way.

Unfortunately, we have had our last bad experience with getting our cars serviced at this dealership. We usually get the package called “the works” where they go through and inspect the battery and filters, fill the fluids, change the oil and check the brakes. I had this done before a 14 hour long trip, and upon arriving at my destination, a mechanic friend, inspected and all of my fluids were low. They had never filled them at the dealership like they said they did. My husband had to get a new battery today after literally having the dealership assess the battery two weeks ago. It died on him and he required a tow. This is so unfortunate as we have had such good luck with ford dealerships in other states that we have lived, but absolutely not this one. Find somewhere else to get your car serviced because they will charge you for things they never do here.

I bought my flex from here in 2018, part of how they sell you is lifetime oil changes for free, you just pay the oil. They did this for 5 years, until today the man played stupid today me no such thing. I had such a terrible experience today I collected all my records. Which is when doofus Mike couldn't even hide his blatant lie anymore as previous free oil change printed out. I previously had tires rotated while doing oil change at same time... never got charged 72$ before. Even after mike is exposed he only gives me a lousy ten bucks more off after royally screwing me over. I went in for a censor problem that only showed up after cruise control was on for a while. I left there with with a whole new censor problem that is now there 24/7. After 5 years of good service today I felt like I got scammed. I won't be back. Don't fall for their oil change gimmick, it doesn't last. He then proceeded to try & gaslight me in front of my husband.

MONEY FIRST - CUSTOMERS LAST!!! Service Department could not care less about their customers. We brought our Escape in for routine maintenance. When we came in to pick it up, the check engine light came on and it almost sputtered to a halt. We got back to the dealership and had to leave it with them. It sat in their lot for five business days before they even looked at it. Once they finally did, they informed us that the engine was shot and needed a complete replacement. Although the car had only 98,000 miles, they revealed that this failure was a known Ford issue with the 2.0 liter EcoBoost engines. They told us it would cost $5,000 to $6,000. We informed them that we had purchased the extended warranty, which they should have known but failed to mention. It took them another week to process the claim and we were told that it would be about four weeks. It has now been six weeks since our car has been out of commission following their service. During all this time, they have NEVER contacted us to let us know what has been going on. I have called them six times, only to leave voice mails. They called me back only twice, but had nothing to offer. We understand about delays in getting a new engine. The real problem has been that they have refused to provide us a loaner. My wife has been without her car for six weeks. They have loaners and continue to give them out to new incoming service customers, but not to us. My assumption is that bring in new service customers WITH NEW MONEY is more important to them than doing the right thing and giving my wife a loaner. THE WORST!!!

Took a deposit on a car (their idea) told me numerous times the car was mine. I was in constant contact with salesman Erick who kept reassuring me the car was mine. Today I took a trip to go look at the car and the sales manager told me someone else had put a deposit on the car before me which I find hard to believe because my deposit was put on the car weeks ago. They couldn't refund me my money and get me out of there quick enough. He was trying to sell me something else but it wasn't the same car as what I chose. Erick had plenty of time to tell me there was an issue but he didn't. Something fishy going on at the end of the year bait and switch liars stay away

Our 2019 Ford stopped running properly. We got an appointment at Franklin ford. It supposedly took them over a week to diagnose the issue. We were told they had to order a part. We have an extended warranty and were told they would work with us to make sure it was covered. They had our car for over TWO MONTHS- 69 days- to be exact. We called multiple times per week. Most of the time nobody in service answered. We called probably 30-40 times and left countless messages and NEVER got a call back even when we were promised a call back. They NEVER offered us a loaner. We got the car back 69 days later and the warranty company won't cover all of the hours Franklin Ford claims to have taken to diagnose the issue. We are stuck with a $900 bill. This company has the WORST customer service I have ever dealt with. The service department does not know what they are doing and could CARE LESS about their customers. They never even apologized! They are a shady company and just want to overcharge their customers. I will tell everyone I meet to stay away from Franklin Ford and I will never buy a Ford again. Franklin Ford is unprofessional and 100% incompetent. STAY AWAY!

I have tried to be loyal but they just won't let me. Took my truck in today for an 8am appointment. Told them I would wait for it. 21/2hours later it's still sitting outside. I had to ask for my keys back and left. They could have cared less! I'm done going there.

AVOID THIS PLACE. I took my Fiesta in because the check engine light was on. The employee, Dave, called later that day and said the $200 I paid for diagnostics was not enough, and they wanted me to authorize more time to keep looking. I agreed to do this and they called later in the day and said they hoped they had fixed the issue.... I went to pick up my car and paid them $400. Literally as I'm driving home, the check engine light comes back on. I get home and call to tell them this, and Dave says he will talk to the technician and call me the next morning. He never calls, so the next day I call them. Leave a voicemail. Few hours later I call again, and he tells me the technician has gone on lunch but that he will call me in a few hours once they talk. I don't hear from them for the rest of the day, so I leave another voicemail around 5pm. The next day passes and still no call from them. Finally two days later I call again, no one picks up. I call the dealership and have to get the woman who picks up to go down to the service center and make Dave call me back. He acts as if I haven't been trying to get a hold of him for the past few days. Tells me the tech found nothing and I'll need to bring my car back to them. All in all, this car has been a nightmare of problems and been to multiple auto shops before finally taking it to Ford. You'd think Ford would know how to diagnose and fix their own vehicles. I ended up wasting $400 for them to tell me they didn't do anything and don't know how to fix it. I'll definitely never buy another crappy Ford again and will stick to reliable brands with people who actually know what they're doing. Terrible service, terrible communication.

Drove 30 miles to test drive a Lincoln. Dealership called my wife three times during the afternoon after sending an email inquiry. Yup, she got three different sales people. WTF? Organize much? Set an appointment for 530. Started pouring so we were 10 min late but got called again at 535 asking if we're still coming. Arrive 5 min after the call and they're jump starting the vehicle in the lot. They pull it up to the front door and it dies. Sales mgr (I assume) comes out with the jump box again and says you might want to come back another time to test drive the car. No apologies, no remorse, no consideration that we drive 45 minutes and clearly no planning. He talked to us like we just rolled down the street from Woonsocket. No call back to update us or apologize still. Had similar bad experiences last weekend at a different dealer in Raynham. The industry is abysmal and shameful today. with no scruples. I hope you call back bc I'll give you the verbal smack down version instead of reading it here...LFG!
