“I’ve been taking all my animals to Valley Vet since moving to the area over 6 years ago. I’ve seen various doctors there, all great. All of my animals have been “pets”and treated as such, but I recently got a “soul pet” that I’m strangely terrified for his safety and health (I can’t explain why). Dr Rhodes has been the absolute best at working with me on my beloved shelter cat Jack Reacher and his issues. She ALWAYS answers my emails promptly no matter how crazy I sound. The staff and techs are always on top of things. Couldn’t recommend them enough.”

“Dr.Perdrizet has cared for my animals for the past 3 years and I have nothing but good things to say about him and his staff. Front desk Amy deals with tons of customers at once with the patience of a saint. Laura the vet tech is kind, personable and compassionate.
I started going here with a kitten I found underneath my porch 3 years ago and by gods blessing my first visit was paid for… I’ve always wondered who but come to believe Dr.P saw a young girl who cared more about an animals well being then her pocket. I couldn’t afford the vet at that time but my kitten was sick and I needed to know if she was healthy or not.
I’ve since returned with 2 other cats and 1 dog and still have nothing but great things to say about this practice including its affordability!!!!
For those complaining about not being able to get ahold of them, I’ve been here for the last 3 years. The key is calling more than once (as in call on Monday and then Tuesday and so on) and earlier in the day is usually better, always leave a voicemail! I know this is a hassle for some but this is a fully scheduled and booked single doctor practice. If you want the turnaround time of a corporate vet then go there but the positives to this place are a long laundry list, compared to the few cons. Dr.P is an established vet with decades of experience and offering more than just your basic routine vet care. He gives every person more than enough time in office to go over their animals needs and treats every animal as if it’s his own.

“I had an amazing experience with this practice and my extremely difficult dog, who does not like strangers, being touched, or especially being restrained. His appointment itself was completely routine—bloodwork and vaccines—but getting him safely handled for that routine care has historically been anything but routine.
The practice I use for my other dogs has only ever been able to do a visual exam on him because hands-on handling simply was not a safe option. He is a deeply mistrusting dog who will fight restraint rather than tolerate it, so I was understandably very anxious about how a routine appointment would work for him, particularly the idea of dropping him off and having him handled and sedated without me there.
What made this practice so different was their willingness to listen to me and work with me on a plan that actually made sense for *this dog*. I am not a veterinarian, but I know my dog extremely well, and I understand what he can safely tolerate and what is likely to escalate him. The staff respected that knowledge while still doing exactly what they needed to do medically.
They allowed me to stay with him, handle him myself, and help him through the process while they quietly and safely sedated him. Once he was sedated, they were able to complete his routine care without putting him through an unnecessarily difficult experience. The difference this made for both of us was enormous. I was calm, he was calm, and we were able to get everything done safely.
A good friend recommended this practice after I explained how difficult it had been to find appropriate routine veterinary care for him, and I am incredibly grateful she did. The staff's bedside manner and willingness to collaborate with me were exceptional. They never made me feel judged for having a difficult dog. They simply listened, made a plan, and helped us get through it.
I drove two hours each way for this appointment, and I would do it again in a heartbeat. He will be coming here for his veterinary care from now on. They joked that difficult dogs were becoming their specialty, and honestly, I think they may be onto something!
