“I rarely review anything - but feel compelled to let people know about A-1 Battery and its unbelievable owner Tommy. I went to see them looking for a starter for my boat. Unfortunately, due to a mistake on my part, Tommy thought he was sold out. I ended up purchasing my starter somewhere else. Through a series of mishaps there was a misdiagnosis that the starter I purchased elsewhere was defective. I went back to A-1 looking to buy a new one from them. Long and short - Tommy assured me my starter (bought elsewhere) was fine and refused to make a sale. He walked me through the steps to diagnose the problem - which was easily corrected. Tommy went above and beyond (I'm leaving out how because it's well beyond what anyone should ever expect) to help me out - and didn't take a penny from me. He's an incredibly good man. I am now a customer for life and you should be too!”

“This is my first stop for auto parts, and usually my last, as they are more likely to have what I need in stock than other local stores. Very friendly staff, helpful, reasonable prices which are often excellent during sales. I haven't needed advice from them, but I've heard them answer questions for customers and they have always sounded well informed and don't try to BS people or upsell them. The one time they didn't know the answer, he just said that up front (whereas many people we'll just make up an answer so they don't seem uninformed).”
