“So happy to have found this gem in Plaistow. Very welcoming vibe between the friendly employees, music, and fun signage (the Heated Rivalry sign made me laugh out loud). At the 50 cent discount book bin I was shocked to find best sellers and Pulitzer finalists. My total was $23 for 15 books - what a steal! Excited to go back”
“I Love coming to COW. The staff are always so welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. COW offers a variety of different classes to learn and grow spiritually. I have taken many classes here and I highly recommend them too.
Unfortunately, I took an abundance class on 04/19/2026,which did not match its description at all or any relation to abundance. I wish I never took the class, to me it was a waste of my money and time.”

“The staff is warm, welcoming, and so knowledgeable! This is the place to go for both quiet contemplation as you browse their shelves and enthusiastic conversations that will have you leaving with your new favorite book based on their thoughtful recommendations.”

“Friday night, I thought I had traveled back in time to the early nineties and walked into the Barnes and Noble where I had bought my first book as a 12-year old in Burlington, MA. Classical music was playing. The books on the display tables were normal?? The staff was friendly and helpful. Even the layout of the store felt strangely familiar. I bought books. I sat in the cafe and drank tea. I finally signed up for B&N Rewards, something I have resisted doing for decades.
It was a nostalgic experience, and I will be returning very soon.”
“Seems like a hidden treasure. Massive selection of used classic rock albums and good prices on them (Got some Zeppelin and Aerosmith for around $10 each). Cash only, but there's an ATM next door.”
