FYE Holyoke is a store for movies, music, T-shirts, collectibles, electronics, candy, K-Pop merchandise, and more. It offers a large selection of DVDs, Blu-rays, CDs, and vinyl, alongside the latest Funko Pop! figures and merchandise from Marvel, DC Comics, Disney, and Star Wars. The store carries all the current trends and related merch, plus a large collection of prepared Japanese snacks.
The staff at FYE are absolutely the nicest, most helpful, and super great. They are usually pretty helpful and can check their system for items in the back or for special orders. The store has a good selection of items, a decent selection, and an amazing selection of DVDs and Blu-rays. It is a good place to find some fun used movies and sometimes pretty rare DVDs or Blu-rays. The store also buys pre-owned items and sells concert tickets.
However, prices are a little higher than preferred, with new merchandise often cheaper online, though used merchandise is very fair and good sales occasionally occur. A complaint is that employees pressure customers to join a rewards club without upfront mention of its monthly cost. The store has also dealt with an unpleasant smell from a restaurant issue above it. Despite changes over the years, it remains a nice shop to visit and pick up items the same day.
the largest (and last surviving) FYE in Massachusetts, physical media is slowly dwindling and it's not being fully replaced with various other things... essentially creating several empty racks...
that's frequently a sign of the store slowly inching towards closing down...

One of the few remaining FYE stores in reasonable distance from me. Still a fun store to visit. Physical media selection is lacking. More of a toy store now, but definitely cool for current pop culture. I miss the local one so it's worth the trip.
