“This particular Dollar General is very well stocked, orderly and houses helpful cheery staff, ample well placed parking, as well as the expected fair to low prices you'd expect to find in this chain.It's only real drawbacks are its out of the way location, but it is on a main road and is great if it's already between or near the place you are already heading.I personally have never had a hard time getting in and out quickly or been disappointed in variety of its stock (especially considering its smaller building size).Over all this store gets a healthy thumbs up.”

“I love having the Daves market in our small area. Kenney, with the help of his family and local employees, keeps the store super clean and friendly. With the availability of fresh produce, meat, vegetables, dairy, any house items one would want, and a selection of all different beer and liquor. This store is a one-stop shop I would recommend anyone to check out! To get a quick sandwich, from the deli or buying all you need to cook a nice dinner, this store is a choice place to shop.”

“I was at the pharmacy to pick up a prescription on Wednesday night, 20 July. I have to say this pharmacist was absolutely wonderful. He went above and beyond. It was almost closing time. I had forgotten my prescription card. He managed to find it the information, even though I had not had a prescription through this market 32. When he saw what my insurance was going to charge me he decided he could fine perhaps a better price for me. And he did at that. He explained every possible thing about the drug I needed to take. He was so kind. This took place at market 32 on Hubbard Avenue in Pittsfield. I cannot thank him enough.”

“Guidos, please after shopping at your store for 33 years I wish you would make returning an item a less fraught experience. In the 33 years which I have shopped regularly I can count on one hand the number of items I have returned. Every time I have been met with rudeness. I love your store but sometimes (rarely) an item does not meet your (mine) standards. This happened with your grilled artichokes recently which were really poor. Not a big deal, it happens. I returned it and did not have a receipt although there is no other business that sells these in the area. The manager reluctanty gave me a $6 credit (having deducted the couple of artichokes we sampled). I said thank you, she (tall, thin, blond) walked away without either apologizing or even saying you're welcome. I know this sounds silly, definitely first world problem but Guidos if you're reading this remember - folks like me are your bread and butter throughout the year. Treat your very loyal customers (which I am) and not just the summer time crowd, with a bit more courtesy. Julia Allan”

“I live on the street right behind this store. So not only is it convenient but it also has some items you don't find in a lot of other stores. The owner is very friendly as well. At first I struggled with his accent, but after almost 11 years in Pittsfield that's not an issue anymore. He also does Western Union and Money Grams. That's helpful to "out-of-towners" receiving money from home or something...lol. I highly recommend you check it out even if you're only passing through.”

Aldi clientele like to sit in isles& block people from passing..they typically do it in the fruit&veggie section..unsure why many of which don't even move for the workers that are trying to restock. Workers are always great no issues but the store needs a new layout/rearranging.Here's an example from Google(not my pic) ⬇️”

Management philosophy understaffs location (not just this store - only way for employees to catch up, it seems, is if someone stocks shelves on their own time), forcing the store to have unstocked shelves and boxes all over the place. Every time I visit, employees are not at register but out on floor stocking. No other store forces employees to do both. I hope they are paid more than other retail stores because they definitely work harder.”

“Each Dollar General, although following the same formula (employees stock AND tend to customers), varies significantly by the quality of its employees. Cheshire, MA DG is one of the best I've been in throughout the country. Still, upper management clearly cares more about moving cheap merchandise than its customers, and the customers don't seem to mind.”

It's near Hilton garden Inn but Guidos Fresh Market is closer. cleanliness is decent, people are friendly and willing to help. The prices I feel are ok but discounts not as good as the local Big Y so that's the reason for my rating.”
