“We happened to find Diehl Marcus & Co while in Salem in October. I have never really drank tea but was curious to try as they had such a variety. The employee (Luke) gave me recommendations and sent me home with 3 samples. I absolutely LOVE the Cottage Comfort and have now become a daily tea drinker. I have since started buying other products from them. I will be a life long customer all the way from MN! ?”
“Such a cool place! I visited this store while traveling. I adored all of the art prints!! It is such a dope & welcoming atmosphere. Their clothes also range in a lot of sizes, so anyone can shop<3 if I ever come back, this place will be a definite re-visit. I hope they expand some of their stuff online for us non-locals??✨”
“Dolma and her family are the most kind and compassionate people. They opened me to the world of buddhism, and the fierce protection of the green tara. I am forever grateful for the continuous and ongoing beauty that unfolds for me due to my relationship with Jetsun Dölma, guided to me by Dolma. Your heart is pure and your intentions are full of compassion and genuineness, because of that I feel these things everyday because I trusted you and your heart. <3 རྗེས་སུ་བཀའ་དྲིན་ཆེ་བསུང་། <3 - I miss you all very much and think of you all the time, see you soon ~Dakota”
“This is small store packed with a wide ranging variety of antiques. We heard about on initially on an episode of the WCVB show Chronicle.
We spent 45 minutes or so browsing the collection. I ended up getting a box of beautifully note cards with pictures of Loons - not actually antique but they do have that look.”
“I have bought & sold with David at least a decade. In my opinion he is very talented and connected. His collections quality is very good to great. Highly recommend.”
“Some stuff In here is ridiculously priced, every person feels as if because it's old, it's worth a lot, and that's not the case. But in all honesty it's fun to poke around in here and sometimes you can find some cool stuff.”
“This is primarily a shop that displays an impressive number of clocks for sale, and repairs clocks and watches. The gentleman and his wife who own the shop are old school, very charming, and very helpful. The owner/watch-clock repairman only changed my watch battery on the spot for $15, which is a fair price around here. And on a Sunday afternoon at that. But far more interesting and entertaining was conversation with other customers who were there for clocks and were obviously repeat customers. A first-rate place and conveniently located.”
“Great shop! Vinny was incredibly informative and helpful in our search for the perfect map. Would highly recommend this store for those looking for great prints or maps”
“We stopped here recently while driving through Essex. This is a fun store on the local antique trail. The antiques here tend to be more on the "upper" end, focusing on furniture and artwork. There is parking available out front, and the owner was cheerful and welcoming. Well worth a stop if you're out hunting for antique furnishings. Check out their website for a taste of what they have for sale.”
“This was in my top five stores I visited in Salem! I accidentally stumbled by it and OH WHAT FUN! The store is filled with unique finds, plants, trinkets, prints, so so much!
I got a Creature From The Black Lagoon print as well as some beetles in amber and brass dinosaurs. That just tells you the variety! The owner was very nice and personable! Everything was very reasonable in price. :)”
“The owner is extremely knowledgeable about all of his pieces, which are in excellent condition and lovingly curated. Gorgeous selection of mid-century modern furniture, but also art, home decor, and more.”
“Such old antiques!!! They had some Ouija boards, one from the 1930s and one from the 1960s! Very cool and interesting shop. Great prices for how old some of the items are! The two people working were such nice and informative people! The photo attached with the plate is one of the glass artifact we got from there! The other two photos are the 30s and 60s Ouija boards!”
“The antiques here are gorgeous, as is the building and history associated with it. We found it while just driving around, and so happy we did! It's definitely worth taking a look if you're in the area! Make sure to read the plaque out front too!”
“I cannot thank Boston Consignment enough for their time and expertise. Alison has made my purchases seamless and effortless. The team is cordial and friendly. They are great communicators and willing to take the extra mile and go out of their way to help. Thank you again and God Bless!”
“Rarely have i been so enchanted by a collection of beautifully curated objects and furniture Further, i found the staff to be as delightful as they were informative. What a great visit.”
“Map placement is close, but not quite. It's to the north of the pin a few hundred feet. Colossal inventory in close quarters. Furniture and other items in pretty good to excellent condition. If you are up for an antiquing adventure, plan to spend time in this place. Bring a flashlight - will help see details. Lighting is fine, but there's a lot of shadows. We got several items we really like.”
“It's the perfect little shop to browse and get lost in. If you're looking for a unique gift, this is the place to come as the prices are very reasonable for some really amazing pieces of jewelry or vintage hats, scarves, pins, too many items to name. If you're looking for something unique for your own home, this is also the place to be as there's something for everyone (tiny figurines, beautiful lamps, furniture, wall-hangings...). Harriet, the owner, is fun and friendly and knowledgable. Everytime I go in there, there's locals and visitors alike, making it feel very worldly yet homey. This place is a gem!”
