829 Mill St, MarionThoughtful, thorough adoption process. Our puppy was exactly as described; happy and healthy. NEBR is entirely run by dedicated volunteers, and all the dogs are fostered in homes. Our puppy was out-of-state and NEBR arranged her to be transported safely and lovingly by personal vehicle (not a bulk transport van/truck).
Because my puppy was out-of-state, my state requires the puppy be quarantined for a few days. Basically, that just meant she had to spend a few days in a local place that offers puppy boarding for observation to ensure she wasn’t visibly ill with kennel cough, etc. (the quarantine facility is a place where families might bring their dogs when they go on vacation, I think they also offer daycare; it’s not a hospital-style quarantine.)
I’ve found NEBR to be very responsive to emails; generally responding by phone call, but also by email. We’ve had many dogs, but this was our first rescue. Overall, a great experience. I’ve stayed in touch with NEBR with puppy updates & photos. They’re great people.
