Coats N' Tails
847 Belleville Ave, New BedfordI took our beagle to Karen. She did a wonderful job on his nails, fur and hair around his paw pads.He is a timid dog but he survived. I love the cut she gave him on his chest. Just what I wanted. I will be going back again after the holidays. I highly recommend her.

Tlc Veterinary Hospital
896 Hathaway Rd, New BedfordWe are new clients and have had great experiences here so far! The staff is very nice and accommodating. I personally really appreciate being able to go in the room with my dog the entire time during exams. I don’t leave my dogs anywhere, so this is a huge seller for me.

The Black Whale
104 Co-Op Wharf, New BedfordThe Black Whale is a New Bedford gem. It’s a bit more pricey than most restaurants in the downtown area, but you get what you pay for.I’ve been a few times this past May. Once for lunch on a Friday and once for dinner on a Thursday. Packed both times, but didn’t need a reservation—they have a ton of seating. The sushi is phenomenal here and they have some specialty seafood dishes you don’t see often, such as the monkfish piccata. What a treat.Only deducting a star due to how many small tables they pack into the main dining area and a hiccup with an order. They need more aisle space in the main area, it’s tough for two people to walk by each other and with the speed in which the servers move, you need to have your head on a swivel. It’s a bit more difficult for folks with disabilities to move about.I ordered a traditional lobster roll with mayo for lunch, but they delivered the buttered version instead. Not a big deal, it’s still lobster, but there were a couple small pieces of shell in the meat, which isn’t fun to chew on.The staff have been very friendly and attentive both times. It’s really a great spot.

Lighthouse Animal Shelter
596 Hathaway Rd, New BedfordThis may not be your typical animal shelter as it's located in an older house with the basement of this property being used as a kennel and a few of the rooms as well and the only reason I am giving this place a 5 starr review is because the owner of this place goes above and really beyond to pull and rescue animals that might not otherwise have a new leash on life.
