Absolutely horrendous, do not rent at this location. I book a car here 5 days ago and on the morning of pickup date they told me they don’t have it, which threw off my entire schedule. DO NOT RENT HERE

It’s not possible to give any rating lower than this. I have been in Massachusetts for the last 6 years now. This is the first time I encountered such a rude person. The person in this Hertz rental was not only unhelpful but misbehaved with us even though we were just there according to our Hertz rental reservation. There is always a polite way to say that if something is not available.

I was happy they had a Tesla for my replacement rental however, they are still called me and leaving messages that the vehicle is over due 10 days after I return the car. When I called back vehicle control they transferred me and hang up on me multiple times. Tried to call the Medford local office no less than 10 times, never was able to get any one in the line. Terrible service.

And all they did was tried to take money out of my account. And now trying to get my hold. They are still taking money out my account this place needs to be shut down.

Car is junk. Not even safe let alone the equivalent of my vehicle in repair. Windshield wipers do not clear window and no fluid, VERY UNSAFE with recent snow. Limited help when reached out to office. Go somewhere else Enterprise, Avis- rent a blue bike, get some rollerblades but save yourself the headache of going here.

Worst company ever seen. Rent a car and paid my bill. Then they send my information to debt colletor to make me pay again. Write to them and they just say I should deal with collectors by myself. Why don't you verify bills before selling our information?

I feel like I need to write a comment to try and balance out all the negative ones. I was hesitant to rent from Medford due to the negative reviews but decided to take a punt as they had the very best deal in Boston for a Tesla Model 3. The pick up was a bit slow due to lack of staff, but that seems to be a problem in many service industries. The charge was only at 20%, but they just said bring it back low and there will not be a problem, which it wasn’t. I rented for 25 days initially and had to extend it twice over the phone, because it could not be done on-line. No trouble getting onto the office, and they were helpful each time. They warned me about the toll charges, and I thought I had it correct to only be charged three days of admin charges, however it got it wrong and was charged the flat daily rental for the whole rental period. One call to the Plate Pass customer services Center fixed that, and I got a refund that accurately reflected my intended only three days’ usage. So overall it was a very positive experience. As a Tesla 3 owner back in Australia, I will definitely be looking to go with Hertz Medford again when I am next in Boston.

The agents were helpful and polite but management was awful and wasted over 2 hours of my day going back and forth over incorrect information. The Somerville location was a lot more polite and efficient and helped me out in a fraction of the time.

Besides the office being run down and understaffed with limited opening hours and they rented me a malfunctioning electric vehicle. I spent a significant amount of time charging this vehicle because it would not hold a charge. When I went to return it, the guy acknowledged that previous customers had had this problem with that vehicle. It ended up costing me around $160 to go down to New York and come back to Boston for the weekend, which is way more than gas vehicle would have cost me on the same trip.I have rented electric vehicle before with no problem. On top of that, I accidently left my ezpass in the vehicle and apparently instead of cleaning out the vehicle they left it in there. I accept my blame for forgetting it in there but I believe that it is something they should have removed. If I let my credit card in the car, any reasonable response would be to take it out and inform the customer not allow people to rack up over $70 worth of tolls. I tried to contact them but the phone number never worked and when I contact corporate customer service. I kept getting forwarded to other representatives and then being told that they would inform me when they found it and send it back to me. That was months ago and every time I ask them about it I get told they are looking into it. My experience with Hertz customer service has been that they are unresponsive and unpleasant and I regret ever renting from them.

I have never written a bad review in my life... but I had the worst experience here and am trying to rectify the incorrect charges but cannot get ahold of anyone because their phones still aren't working. The first car was undriveable because they missed the alert that the rear tires needed to be changed. I couldn't get in touch (because phones weren't working and still aren't) so I had to waste and hour on the phone with the generic customer service # and roadside. They would not deliver me a new car and pick up the one that desperately needed service so I had to turn around (on my way out of town) to go back and complete the transfer at the counter myself which delayed my trip. The second car had no charger so I went inside to ask them for one - I was laughed at and then had to go find the last car I rented in a sea of cars to retrieve a charger myself because he was already busy with someone else. I returned the car earlier than expected and then all of a sudden my weekly rate went up to a daily rate that was more expensive and I am trying to understand why and be refunded for the difference. Can someone please reach out to me?

They gave me a lemon to drive and then tried to charge me extra fees after I returned vehicle. Will not be coming back.
