Poor guidance and inconsistent advice đđ
A week ago, I visited Petco looking for guidance to start a small aquarium with tetra GloFish. I specifically asked if a 5-gallon tank would be appropriate for 4 tetra GloFish, and the staff assured me that it was. I trusted their recommendation, purchased the tank and all the necessary accessories, and spent a week properly conditioning the water.
Today, I returned with the intention of buying the fish, but to my surprise, I was told that the tank is too small for GloFish and they refused to sell them to me. It was extremely frustrating to receive completely contradictory information from the same store. I invested time, money, and effort following their guidance, only to now be told that itâs not suitable.
I understand that animals need a healthy environment, and I fully support their wellbeing. However, the advice given should be consistent from the beginning. As a first-time aquarium owner, I expected clear and responsible guidance. Unfortunately, this experience left me disappointed and confused.

I had such a pleasant experience at my dogâs appointment today! He needed annual vaccines. Everything was fast and easy and the cost was amazing compared to most vet offices. All staff members were friendly and helpful as well. I will definitely be coming back!

Terrible service! Literally the employees stole my cats order and then tried to say they cancelled it because they didnât have the items in stock which was a lie. They refuse to help me and made me call customer services which indeed did, and they did a better job in helping me then what the employee in the store did. On top of that customer services did inform me that my order was never cancelled and mostly likely it was an error on their end which I think is unacceptable and not true. For me to be a loyal customer and have your employees stealing my cats food that I paid for and then lying saying it was cancel shame on yâall. You need to do better in hiring people who actually enjoy their job and arenât so miserable that the moment you walk in and have a question they are so passive aggressive and refuse to help you and have all types of attitudes and telling you to call customer service is unacceptable. Do Better Petco!

Do not take your dog to get groomed here. The grooming manager is extremely rude and they are unqualified and inexperienced.

Exceptional service at Petco! I visited last weekend to shop for Bella, a pup Iâm helping to raise as a service dog. Honestly, I walked in knowing almost nothing about dogs, but the team went above and beyond to guide me step by step. They helped me find everything I needed to make sure Bella is healthy, happy, and well cared for. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and kind. The level of service I received was truly next level. Thank you, Petco, for making the process so easy and enjoyable!

Awful! Grooming manager Danielle Correnti is awful. Rude. Unprofessional. And doesnât want new customers. Said I need proof of rabies before grooming. Thatâs reasonable, so I got that. Asks when I walk in for 1st scheduled appointment what medical conditions, I tell minor heart murmur. âOh no canât groom dog till we get letter from vet on stationary that itâs low grade and heâs safe to groom.â I left and a week later got that letter . Made a second appointment. I come with letter. She says not good enough because it says low grade and not a grade number. At the store I call my vet, vet sends actual vet records and it says he is a grade 2 of 6., with date and vets name and clinic. Mgr wonât take that because itâs not on the SAME PIECE OF PAPER. Wants it re-typed on first letter. What?! SHE IS A DISGRACE TO YOUR COMPANY AND SHOULD BE FIRED. I will never use Petco and telling others! She had it out for me from the start. She was going to make it as difficult as possible and then I followed everything she wanted and still not good enough because info on 2 separate pages. Called corporate to be connected to her manager. They wonât connect me. Itâs not their policy. But they will file a complaint to the manager with no guarantees of a return call to me. But the manager is the one Iâm complaining about. Makes no sense. Doesnât corporate Petco care what itâs managers are doing?. Who is policing them? Petco reputation in general is at stake.

The service at your store is terrible...people are rude...I just left there and an employee...a girl with glasses...at the register...I went to pick up a delivery for customer Brooke Bouden...she threw it from a huge distance inside the cart... a lack of education...

The manger that was on duty as well as an associate from Vetco were very rude and unhelpful. I came in the store right before closing to buy my dog food and when returning to register I was told it was closed. There was no announcement as well as there were other customers still walking the store as I and no store associates walking around to help. Instead of allowing me to buy the food he continued to walk to back with his counted till. I then asked to speak to the store manager he proceed to tell me he canât give out that information. I then asked for the district manager. He said âI canât give out that informationâ and shut and locked the door on my face. A Vetco associate proceeded to walk out and I asked for the mangers name. She yelled back âYEA WEâRE CLOSED.â I said I was a customer. She said â not anymore we are closed itâs not his faultâ. Very rude and unhelpful when Iâve been a customer for years and only shop my pet needs with Petco. I will start to think of other options since the customer service is so bad.
