I had a terrible experience with Public Storage at 327 Mystic Ave, Medford. Be very careful with how they calculate rent. Unlike normal monthly rentals (e.g. August 1 to September 1), they charge on a strict 30-day cycle. Because I moved in on August 14, I was told by staff on the phone that moving out on September 13 would be fine and I would not owe anything further.
But after I moved out on the 13th, I got a call saying I had “gone over by one day” and now owed another full month of rent. When I explained that I had called ahead to confirm this exact question (and I am sure it was the same staff member I spoke to) she became vague, said “well, I don’t know about that,” and told me there was nothing she could do. The only thing she offered was to waive the late fee, but not the extra month’s rent.
This feels extremely deceptive. Customers should not be punished for following the instructions given by staff. On top of that, I was told if I refused to pay, it could impact my credit record, which comes across as intimidation. I’ve tried to reach the district manager, James, but he has not returned my calls. Very disappointing and unfair experience

Great experience. Customer service is excellent! Sandy was so helpful. Extremely knowledgeable, welcoming and professional! She took the time to show me the different size storage units and shared tips on best way to maximize storage in unit. When I missed out on the unit I wanted she called me as soon as another became available. Prices were fair and place was very clean.

I want to give a huge thank you to Sandy. I called with a problem that I was having with an online payment. Even though this wasn't her area, she helped me with several other options and was extremely pleasant and helpful with a few other questions that I had. She not only helped me resolve the original problem but she was also kind enough to take it upon herself to put in a review for a temporary rent decrease, which was approved. Sandy, you have no idea how much your small gesture will help me, even if it's for a few months. I am beyond grateful. Thank you so much!

We moved belongings here from a Public Storage location in Chicago and this was a better location than the Chicago location (on Wabash) in every way: service, access hours, cleanliness, and range of options in size of lockers. Tom was really great in handling our check-out process on the last day of the month and assuring us we wouldn't be charged the next day as part of the next billing cycle. Highly recommended, as someone who has used several Public Storage locations and found they vary a lot in quality, staffing, access hours, and responsiveness to questions.
