“This is an incredible gallery with some rare and historically important American art/artifacts from the Civil War era. As a collector of figurines and dolls from this particular era, I was so elated to find some very elusive pieces here. Disregard the prior reviewer as she is obviously not any sort of an art collector and has absolutely no idea what she is talking about, clearly just a lost tourist with a Google account. History is not always pretty but it is important that it not be buried or falsely rewritten. It is vital to the art world that pieces such as these figures continue to circulate among true art collectors and history students. The proprietor is very personable and has a great depth of understanding of these works of art. I will be back for more.”

It is no coincidence this gallery has been operating for more than 22 years! This is a must-stop for anyone interested in taking home a piece of true Nantucket art made by a local Nantucketer, or even just to stop in to admire everything in there and leave with one of his annual holiday ornaments (each year has a unique design!). Mike is very kind and helpful and it's always a treat to see his sidekick Millie in the gallery hard at work with him. Love this shop and I look forward to stopping in each visit :)”

“They have excellent works and the owner is wise. We once came in with our kids and everyone chose a painting they liked. Over the years, we have bought pieces here because the young kids became teens and we took their tastes into consideration for major pieces. So many galleries are dismissive when they see someone who they believe isn't a buyer. But families are good customers. Not surprised they have stayed in biz.”
