“The Whaler inn is pretty basic but is extremely clean and the bed comfortable. There was a wonderful microwave and refrigerator which I used since I stayed 8 nights. The staff was very helpful when I needed them to receive an important package for me. It is located centrally and close to gas and fast food and other amenities. And importantly the price was reasonable especially for the cleanliness and comfort of the bed. I especially value the temperature control which worked perfectly. There wasn’t daily maid service but I didn’t need it and valued the privacy. I would go back there any time.”

“Great value. Historic hotel with wood floors. Fantastic downtown location. Rooms are nice - high ceilings and windows. Furnishings are a bit mediocre but who can complain at this price! Staff are wonderful. Cozy bar and restaurant (like someone else said, really charming). Fridge but no microwave in case that’s important to you. Parking is 2 blocks away so snag a paid spot on the street if you can (free from ~5pm to 9am, then you can add time with passport parking. So worth it to have your car right there)”

“I have stayed at the Seaport in Marina many many times I travel back-and-forth from Florida back-and-forth from Maine to visit my family. It’s a wonderful place right on the ocean. You’ll be looking across the bay at all the Commercial scallopers and draggers. There is a restaurant right in the hotel that is wonderful. They have a wonderful outdoor. Tent with music and appetizers the staff is professional and courteous !!”
