Unhelpful. Refused to let me DEPOSIT money into my wife's account since I didn't know her account number. I even had her ID in hand, but they again refused. In a previous encounter, they were unable/unwilling to help my wife with her account because "a green card is not one of the IDs they accept."Bank local

I just tried to call this bank in Newton Ctr. First I was put on hold. No one answered my call. I tried it twice. I was hung up on. I pressed #4 to speak to a live person. What kind of a business is this? Is this a nice way to treat your customers?

Terrible experience. One teller per a bunch of customers. Teller is not skilled at all. Spent 40 min in line waiting and left, with a few people still in front of me. Avoid this branch!

Horrible interaction with Singh. He was rude and was checking his emails and observing other people in the hallway while he was making only an appointment for me.

We have been banking with this bank for many years, everything is easy and smooth. We love our banker Mr. Puneet Singh. He is extremely knowledgeable, if you need any help that no one else knows how to resolve your issue go to this banker at 808 Becon st branch.

Wish I could give them zero stars. Their ATM ate my card and my check last night and none of their automated systems can help. Among other things, they ask me to enter the security code on my ATM card -- a classic catch 22. They don't give out the phone numbers for the branches either. So I had to make an appointment, but their software is experiencing a "downstream bck-end system error," so I am out of luck. Go to Village Bank instead. None of this happens there, where I keep my other accounts. (Note: i am in Newton -- not SF.)

I'm the opposite of spoiled with the usual atm's in the city but this location is so nice! It's beautiful on the outside, wheelchair accessible, and clean. Also one of the only Bank of America locations nearby I think. Plus great parking!! That's always a plus

Worst branch I ever visited. Does not deserve a single star. Tellers are snooping ...NEVER go there!

Never sign up Bank of America Merchant Service with is part of Bank of America. They steel money from their clients. I had so many problems with them. Once you give them your routing number and account number they will start charge you monthly fees. There is no way to block them from doing so. I never ran a single transaction through them and never activated my service. At the end I spent about $1000 for the fees plus $500 at the end for cancellation fee with they told me does not exist. Bank of America Merchant service is a SCAM. Save yourself your time and nerves - do not give them any information. Do not even talk to them!

I recently moved to Chestnut Hill, so I set out today to establish a new checking/savings account. Before driving to Newton Center (this location), I had already dropped by the Bank of America at the Chestnut Hill Mall. The employees there were polite and professional enough, but they didn't seem very interested in helping me and seemed rather unfazed about my existence in general. The one associate who handles new accounts "was not available to help me" when I first stopped by, so I was told to return in 20 to 25 minutes. I stopped back at 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, and 45 minutes; each time, the associate in question was unavailable. When I came back five minutes later (50 total minutes), the individual for whom I was waiting (for almost an hour) had finally finished up helping another customer--but he had immediately begun helping a DIFFERENT customer. In essence, I wasted an hour of my life at the Chestnut Hill Mall watching well-dressed people drop mad $$$ on Gucci. Rather than giving up on the Bank as a whole, I decided to give Bank of America another shot by driving two miles down the road to the Newton Center Branch. I was immediately greeted at the door, and an associate named Mark eagerly stepped forward to help me; I did not have to even mention my sub-par experience at the other branch in order to garner attention. Mark was professional--but also personable and attentive to my needs. Setting up the accounts took a little bit longer than expected and required some extra documentation that I had to run out to my car to obtain, but all associates involved in this process were respectful and sincere. Mark very clearly explained the details of both accounts--as well as my responsibilities with regard to keeping fees waived. It felt 100% manipulation-free. Mark even recommended to me a perfect credit card opportunity (for which I was pre-selected) with great gas rewards. (Before moving to MA, I had been specifically searching for a credit card with generous gas rewards!) Even though the entire experience involved a few minor hang-ups, the customer service that I experienced at the Newton Center Branch was thoroughly encouraging and confidence-building. I feel absolutely welcome to return, to ask questions, and to establish future accounts there. Exemplary and friendly customer service = my future business and a public endorsement.

Terrible service. I was just there to notarize some paperwork to get a birth certificate for my newborn daughter. Instead, the notary, Lisa, requested to see the birth certificate of my little girl before verifying my signature. She wanted to make sure they matched. I tried to explain the situation. No luck. She refused to do anything. A walk across the parking lot to Citizens Bank resolved the issue.

Walk, no run away from Bank of America. I was tricked into a refi FOUR MONTHS AGO. During that time they have repeatedly lost my paperwork, relied on flawed information and basically made me feel like a criminal. Bank of America is a failure.
