“Very polite. But isn't accept bottle redemption.Apparently most liquor stores aren't accepting returns... Something about COVID... How is this allowed to happen?”

“This place is great. Lots of excellent host gifts and curated wine selection. The owner seems very helpful whenever I’m here. He’s always providing detailed guidance to someone

The only problem is the check out person who was there today. She was super abrupt and unfriendly!”

“The selection at Dion's is great but more importantly the staff and owner are helpful and courteous. It's a much better experience than going to a giant liquor store.”

“This is one of those “is it too good to be true?” experiences. I’ve never seen a bourbon selection like theirs, and the folks who work there are awesome. Wish I could enjoy a pour with them!”

“Fantastic selection. This store has been open for quite a while and they know a thing or two about selection. Great whiskey, ale and beer options, and the nicest Kosher wine section I have found in Newton. Marty Siegal is a mensch, and will always answer any questions you may have with a smile and 40+ years of knowledge.”

“UPDATE THE MOST UNUSUAL wine shop in the Boston area, that imports all their own wines directly (many of which no one else imports to the US), and hidden in a basement in Newton. There was an article about them on Forbes: Updating because Ansonia is back open again, post-COVID, for the once a month 10AM-2PM Saturday "Owner's Hours" free tasting (typically 10+ bottles open). They do a good job explaining each wines backstory. You can find the schedule on their website here: The other three Saturdays of the month, they are open for browsing and picking up wines previously ordered. Easy parking in the lot out front. More details in my previous reviews below.”

“This is a great little liquor store that secretly doubles as a gourmet market with artisanal cheeses, crackers, pasta, meats and more. The store has a great selection of bottles with very good prices. Staff is super happy and friendly and it's always neat, clean, and we'll organized inside. Great parking right in front of the store. Highly recommend.”

“It an Eastern European (Russian, Ukrainian, Polish...) food store with a wide variety of groceries, meats, dairy, bakery, breads, vines and spirits...It is relatively expensive. There is a similar store in Cambridge Street in Brookline, and I like it more.”

“Super close corner store for me, but even if it wasn't I'd go here.

It has a pretty good selection at a decent price.

Can't speak to one off experience, but the staff is pretty warm and amiable with regulars!”

“Family run business that I love to frequent. Everyone is very nice and they take the time to get to know the locals by name. The prices are a little higher than you'll find at a supermarket, but the kids always love to swing by for a quick treat after school.”
