Just bought dishwasher first time we used it flooded our brand new kitchen. They came out said the pump was bad. We had never used it and wanted a new one. They sent someone out to replace pump. Ran it today it leaked again I think they sell defective appliances. The microwave came out of the box yesterday has a big scratch on the front. Go to Yale

Purchased a gas stove from Poitier and they couldn’t have made it easier. They have a plumber who delivers and unhooks and installs so you don’t have to get a plumber to your house twice. The whole experience was great. They service their customers well. I will get all my appliances from Poitier from now on.

Contacted Poirier to replace my broken dryer belt (Monday). Ed was fantastic. He said it was an easy fix and he ordered the part on Tuesday.Today (Thursday), I called to see when the part will be installed. They scheduled me for 12 days from now. The simple repair will take 15 days to complete. They have me captive since they charged me $295 for the service call.Ed made me think "I should order everything from Poirier." Service scheduling has caused me to think never again. Be sure to ask how long they will do a follow up to repair so you do not get stuck like I am.

I recently went to Poirier Sales & Service in Newton to lo pick out a new electric range. My electric ranged died a horrible death. I was greeted immediately by Jimmy (who happens to be the store manager). Jimmy made the transaction seamless, and had the oven delivered in less than a week. Their pricing better was better than their competitors, and the service was excellent. The delivery was today, and they were on time, friendly, and extremely thorough. I'll definitely go back to Poirier Sales & Service again for all my appliance needs.

Great place to buy from but service is tough. It is impossible to get someone on the phone to schedule an appointment. I have had an ongoing issue with my fridge and I’ve lost allmy food 3 times, had to buy a mini fridge and they can’t figure out what’s wrong. I can’t even get a call back to speak to a manager or schedule an appointment.

I went to Poirier to buy a fridge. The sales person, Alex Bobb, was fantastic. Not only did he help me select a good fridge, he also went out of his way to expedite delivery because my old fridge had died. I paid for the fridge on Thursday and it was delivered on Saturday morning. Alex called me an hour after delivery to check to see if everything had gone smoothly. The delivery men, Sean and Jermaine, were very professional, neat and helpful. I couldn't be happier with the whole process. Ps. I am a return customer. I purchased a dishwasher and stove from Poirier in 2001. Both are still in use.

Purchased a washer and dryer. Day of delivery, we used the washer for the first time and it sounded like a jackhammer going off inside it. Contacted the salesperson immediately, who forwarded the video of the washer to their service department. The service department called to say they could come out and look at it IN THREE WEEKS!! Finally got them to come out the next week, and they completely disassembled the washer, and said they found nothing wrong. The service technicians solution to this was to leave a full bottle of detergent on top to buffer the sound. The technician then gauged the front of the washer while putting it back together and suggested to my husband that need say anything to me about it, because it wasn't that bad! Also, a panel on the front of the dryer was loose and instead of fixing it, which he said could not be done, the best solution was to stick a rolled up piece of electrical tape behind the panel so it would not vibrate. When told that was not satisfactory, he added more tape. When Poirier sales was contacted about this, their response was they would come out and pick up the appliances and refund my money. Leaving us with NO washer or dryer until a new one could be purchased from another store and delivered. Instead of standing by the product, they chose to leave us with nothing, because that was easier than trying to fix two appliances delivered with problems. Would you drive off a new car lot with a bumper taped on and a muffler rattling? This company has sold me many appliances in the past (stove, dishwasher, microwave, to name a few) to both myself and many family members. Clearly loyal customers are not important to this retailer. Unfortunately Yelp does not allow me to attach videos of the percussion instruments washing and drying clothing...but they are pretty epic!

when all goes well no one notices. when problems arise is when you see what service really means. high end appliances do break and parts / technicians are hard to come by. that is what we faced with our 2016 wolf dual fuel range. while initially frustrated with the lead time for service and access to parts , the service team stepped up with both proper diagnosis and squeezing us in for parts installation and testing. so buying from a local family owned place is better off in the end , especially when fair trade price products are involved where the price is the same everywhere. last point is their ability to service every brand they sell , not just the fancy few (wolf and sub zero ) so stick with folks like this whose name and reputation are in the line for both initial sale and ongoing service

For many years we’ve been satisfied Poirier customers. While moving into our homes we’ve bought several appliances from their store (except a fridge) and recently needed repair to our fridge. We’re told they only service to customers they sell and are scheduling out 3 weeks+. I said “I am a customer” and we’re told technically no because I didn’t buy a fridge there. So the moral of the story is if you buy a home with a working fridge don’t call Poirier. How ridiculous. Fortunately I was able to schedule a next day appointment with another local repair shop. NEVER again!!

I have been a Poirier customer for over 20 years and have always been very satisfied with customer service. However, when I ordered my AC this year, I noticed a difference. The day after I received my Friedrich 8000 BTU ( $500 with tax), I noticed a small dent, and dirty smudges at the top of the unit. And the box, had been ripped. South Shore Install now provides delivery and installation and they have a poor attitude at best. I have no idea when the damage occurred -- whether at the Poirier warehouse -- or after South Shore Install took possession of my AC. But I bought the Friedrich at considerable expense and I expect my AC to arrive in pristine condition. When I called Poirier to express my concern, the sales associate was rude and dismissive. He promised that the manager would call me back. The manager never did. Poirier gets top price and South Shore Install charges $179 for delivery and installation. And for that I expect more, much more.

We bought a compact washer/drier combo over a year ago--and never got a chance to use it because it never worked. Poirier sales were kind but ineffectual. First it was the installation, so we had that fixed, then the vent, so we had the vent replaced, then another piece of equipment, then a heater, and now another heater, then the vent again.. Now the warranty is up and I'm still going to laundromat.

Two appliances were installed today! Extremely pleased with the service and value pricing at Poirier. Their service reps are extremely helpful (Jackie was one of them). I bought a dishwasher and gas range and they arranged the installation with a local plumbing business (Serratore Plumbing). I was able to do everything online and/or over the phone to set this up across the country. It was nice to be able to use a local business over a big box store! To start, Poirier's prices are very competitive. Exact same pricing as Best Buy for the same make and models. Poirier was very helpful and readily available to answer questions I had about setting up the installation. They had the contact information correct so that I didn't get a call at 4am PT! Next, Poirier uses an excellent plumbing business for the installation. The plumbing business is paid directly, they aren't making money off the installation. Serratore Plumbing (Norwood, MA) was excellent. They called with a reasonable window morning of installation, contacted us the day before as well, and showed up on time. The techs were professional, quiet and cleaned up after themselves. They took the care and time to make sure everything was working properly before they left. The owner called me to make sure I knew who to contact should there be any future issues. Very professional. My only comment here is I can't find them on Yelp to give them compliments! I was able to find them on Google and wrote a review. Highly recommend Poirier for the following: (1) customer service (they get how important that is for such a competitive business!); (2) competitive pricing; and (3) using a professional, reliable and high quality contractor to deliver and install appliances!
