I observed the USPS staff completing very complicated passport and international mailing jobs this morning with professionalism, calm, and attention to detail. Big shout out to Sunil!

Very well stocked, but very busy this time of year. Open later than most of the other Post Office locations in this area. Parking lot in back isn't obvious from the street entrance, so loop around and take advantage of it.
Servicing personnel were welcoming and efficient. A first-rate location as far as Post Office locations go. It has my recommendation.

USPS is one of the worst government organizations ever for sure, but this place is something else. Nobody cares, even if there are three employees, including one guy in his 50s, probably the manager, talking to each other and ignoring you. Come on, do your job. No wonder why your review is like this…

I’ve been expecting my package to be delivered today. The tracking showed it arrived at this local post office at 6:30 AM. However, around 4:30 PM, I received a message stating that the package was available for pick-up. When I went to the post office and gave the tracking number to the staff, she didn’t look at the tracking number but instead asked for my home address. After providing my address, she said the package might still be out on the delivery truck and hadn’t returned yet. She mentioned that people usually get text notifications before the truck comes back. I knew this wasn’t the case, because there was no delivery attempt, so I told her that the tracking showed the package arrived at the post office in the early morning and was never out for delivery. I asked if she could please check in the back to see if it was there. She went to the back to check and later returned, saying it wasn’t there and I should come back tomorrow.
I told her my shipment was a high-value package and asked if it could possibly be stored somewhere else. She asked for my address again and went to the back. This time, she found the package. She came out and said next time I should tell them I’m in the other part of Newton, as this is West Newton post office and my package shouldn’t be here. I asked who I should speak to about this, as I had been home waiting for my package all day, only received a message saying it was ready for pick-up without any call. She then looked away and talked to her coworker before telling me to sign to receive the package.
She never checked my ID, despite my package being sent via certified shipping with $25k insurance. This unprofessional behavior and poor service attitude explain why this location gets so many bad reviews

Rudest employees this is the worst post office that’s around here. The absolute worst . Woman told me she suspects that I’m not sending a book and would not give me a book rate even though I was sending a book. I opened in front of her to prove to her it , was a book and left. What happened to friendly post workers. These people hate their life and their job .

My name is Hada my neighbor he’s name haka my neighbor move out and switch he’s m ail to he’s new location he just called me saying he’s been receiving all my mails I m like what ? Yes the crew distributor of Newton post office doesn’t pay attention we’re he’s been sending my mail my neighbor said he just received my passport to d’orchestre location with my Newton adresse.This Newton post office in Washington street need all renovation of employees and hires people how pay attention ⛔️

In newtonville ! The Most unprofessional afro American woman manager was chastising an employee right in front of many of us customers .. she was ranting and raving until a customer saved the traumatized man who seemed abit slow from almost crying ??? I have seen this before. How do these managers get their jobs ? ? Terrible way to represent the u s post office . This place needs revamping . Seems to be out of control . Never go there again .. !!!!! Fire her ......Got to say went there again and this same manager was out front again speaking loudly at another teller ?? I spoke up and asked her to speak in a lower tone and more respectfully to her employee.! She hissed at me and left .. why does she treat post office employees like this.?? I heard from a local friend, there seems to be a big turnover with employees there she notices ?? I CAN SEE WHY !! Any manager who treats customers , hissing at me .. and important employees like she does everdently should be fired ..!!! wow !! This post office must be desperate !!!

Woman at the counter is extremely rude and needs a new job clearly. I asked a simple question to get a PO Box and she berated me unnecessarily. Then she continued on her tirade as I left the store telling me I was a child in front of other customers. Wow. If you have anything to do else besides mailing a letter here you will be treated like a worthless person.

My package has just been sitting there since 3am yesterday. It’s 7pm the next day. This is ridiculous. I’m just gonna go pick it up tomorrow.
