GameStop is a store with a great vibe for young gamers, offering a wide selection of tangible games, controllers, and lots of little novelties. The store is typically clean, very neatly organized, and set up in easy to find sections. It can be busy, but the line goes quickly. While it has some basic stuff, it may not have every specific item a customer is looking for, and some things can be found cheaper elsewhere. Staff are generally pleasant and knowledgeable, though sometimes only one person is working. Customer service experiences can be very frustrating, involving long holds and failed follow-throughs over the phone. However, in physical stores, associates can be extremely helpful, going above and beyond to advocate for customers and solve problems directly, even providing a direct number to bypass long public wait times.
The lady working New Year’s Eve all alone did an amazing job. I came in an hour before close with a ton of games and consoles to get store credit and while helping me she had to handle the entire store since her only other helper left unannounced. One person was handling the entire store — cashing customers out and handling phone calls — all at once. Kudos to the worker for keeping his cool and multitasking efficiently. But please, get this man some help.

The woman working the counter with the the tattoos was a doll. She was all alone taking care of a huge line of Pokémon nerds wich I was one of. Give that lovely lady a raise Game Stop.
