I usually bring her to Petco in RI where I live (I commute about an hour to work) because it's convenient and they do a great job. When I brought her in, all of the staff, from cashier to the groomers and everyone in between welcomed her like they have known her forever. It was so heartwarming to see. Genuinely made my heart flutter. Mabel is a shy girl and she felt so comfortable with Gab. I will definitely be bringing her in on my lunch breaks more often. Thank you so SO much.”

“Fuzzy pants has been excellent for my dog! He was having problems in a different daycare and I needed to switch. He has been thriving since going to fuzzy pants! He hasn't had any problems with other dogs, he is always so excited when we pull up, absolutely exhausted at the end of the day! The staff are wonderful!! And it's very affordable. I highly recommend this doggie daycare!!”

“Tony dropped everything to be able to help my 3 kitties. I found out the Natural Balance cat food was being discontinued in 50%+ Petsmarts and Petcos. I learned that Tony’s Pet Oasis was one of 2 places near me that would be selling this product. I messaged them on Facebook and explained my situation. I went in store a few days later and Tony sat with me and ordered all of the flavors my cats eat for me. He got them in so quickly and messaged me on Facebook when they were in store and ready. He now sells them on his shelves. He literally made my life so much easier and I don’t need to worry right now. Thank you Tony and team!”

“Walked in to get some cat food today and I was asked several times by different employees if I needed help, or needed to find anything in particular that they could help me with. And oddly enough, all the different employees within the areas of the store were either smiling or laughing as they interacted with customers. Store was very clean very organized”

“Always is so good, but this time after the vaccine we were checking food and toys and leashes and my puppy felt bad and puke and feels bad and the dr. saw this since far away and came fast to check her. This was so great for me, when we arrive to the house my puppy was like new and she still is, but I really appreciate what the dr. did!”

The staff is all friendly, the trainer Vincent is knowledgeable and patient, and my dog's groomer Autumn is amazing and always does a great job with my boy. Everything is clean and well maintained. The events held here are always fun and we enjoy ourselves and love the little treats they give away. We got a great Santa photo last year too, which is a first! Cannot recommend this place enough to people who want to get the best service and great products!”

I recently visited the Petco in Shrewsbury and overall had a really pleasant experience worth sharing. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by staff — a small touch that immediately sets a positive tone and makes you feel like your visit matters.
The assortment of pet supplies is genuinely impressive. Whether you're shopping for toys, bedding, grooming products, treats, or accessories, the selection covers a wide range of needs and price points. It's clear that Petco has invested in keeping their inventory well-stocked, and I left feeling like I had real options rather than just grabbing whatever was available.
What stood out most was the staffing on the floor. There were plenty of team members available, which made a noticeable difference. I was assisted by Rhonda, who was an absolute standout — friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely enthusiastic about helping. Her positive attitude made the whole experience feel personal, and she went above and beyond to point me in the right direction. More associates like Rhonda make a real difference in the shopping experience.
It was also evident that animal welfare is a priority here. The live animals on display appeared healthy, well-cared-for, and in clean, appropriate environments — always a good sign and something I personally appreciate when evaluating a pet store.
One area for improvement: the store layout when you first enter can feel a bit disorienting. Pet food — both cat and dog — is located toward the back of the store, while supplies feel spread out across different sections without a clear flow. A more intuitive layout or better signage near the entrance would go a long way in helping shoppers navigate efficiently, especially first-timers.
Overall, Petco in Shrewsbury is a solid choice for pet owners. Strong selection, attentive staff, and animals that are clearly well looked after. With some layout refinements, this location could easily be a five-star stop. I will continue to shop here and I do tell my family and friends about this location favorably.”

“So, I helped facilitate my friend getting a kitty. We went to Carmah/Petco and can I just say, it's only been 6 days and they are getting along so so so wonderful. CarMax was awesome and so was Petco. My friend needed a companion and has gotten that and then some.”

“Just took our newly adopted dog here to get updated on all her vaccines as our vet is very backed up. I am not sure why there are so many negative reviews because our experience was fantastic. The 2 staff that checked us in were very thorough. They checked over all of her medical paperwork from her adoption and explained options. I told her we had a vet appointment in 3 weeks and she gave me the option to have her boosters for the vaccines with our vet or to come back to Vetco. There was no pressure either way. Once we saw the vet she provided an exam and explained everything. I felt the process was easy and the staff were all very professional. I think this is a great alternative for anyone having a tough time getting an appointment with their local vet or looking for affordable vaccines for their pet”
