“Being retired Air Force, each year I love to book a week at Forth Cliff military recreation site in Humarock. This year though I was blessed with what was supposed to be a tropical storm brushing the coast with high winds , rain and heavy surf. I live in CT and my vacation started the day prior to the storm making landfall. Because of the storm, I decided to take what I refer to as my beater car (99 Jeep grand Cherokee) . The body has seen better days but runs like a beast. Should the sands blow or debris strike it, I would not cry as much as if it were my primary car. On the way up to MA, it was nice and sunny but not to hot, so I rolled my drivers window down. Somewhere just over the border from Rhode Island, my dash alerted me my drivers door was open. I pulled off at a rest area to check my door but the alert would not go off after opening and closing a few times. I got back into my car and just for safety hit the auto locks and they would not work. I then tried to roll up window and that also didn’t work.So here I am with a tropical storm about to hit and I have a window stuck in the down position. I could have grabbed plastic and taped my window for the time being but with the storm the winds would surely make quick work of that.I got to B&B and they were jumpin, the mechs were all busy plenty of cars all over. When I talked to the mechanic and told him my story , he dropped what he was doing to check for what we hoped was the simple fix of a wire that runs through the hinge area of the door. Thankfully it was and he spliced it back together. It may have only taken 30 min, but that probably put him even further behind.I am so grateful to these guys for their above and beyond effort. If for whatever reason you are near, try these great mechanics out. The price to fix was also very fair. Thanks for saving my vacation guys !”

“Bruce was extremely helpful. I had an issue with my hood not shutting correctly. I stopped by his shop after the shop I called prior tried to say it would cost $100 to fix. He opened my hood, put a screwdriver to it, and had me back on the road in 2 mins. He even put air in my tires. I asked what I owed him and said don't even worry about it, it's on the house.”

“The location has become a "Nouria" Gas station, so I am unsure if they still take the "Gulf" gift cards/credit cards. However, the price of gas at this location is usually 15-20 cents cheaper than most places in the area.Also, when I went the attendant was EXTREMELY POLITE! I have no idea what her name was but she told me about the Nouria app on my phone to start saving 5 cents at the pump right away. Also, after I had pumped my gas and was walking in for my leftover change, she had it already out of the cash drawer and waited to put it in my hand.Thank you for the efficiency & wonderful service!”
“I was referred to Bob by a mechanic friend of my mother's after being given a ridiculous quote by Coastal Volkswagen. I did not know exactly what was wrong with my engine, besides that something was wrong with the timing chain and it had caused damage in other areas as well. Within a reasonable amount of time for the amount of work done, Bob diagnosed and repaired my car, explaining exactly what was wrong and what he was doing every step of the way. By the time everything was done, he'd fixed my engine and more for less than HALF of what Coastal had quoted me for. I wouldn't recommend another Volkswagen mechanic over Bob!Services: Engine repair”
