βThese guys do so much more than just exhaust work. I have been going there for all my auto repairs for years. I call them for everything. It's very rare that they refer me to someone else but it's happened a few times on the very biggest repairs I've needed (head gasket and electromagnetic coupler).
Without diving into my filing cabinet to look at all my slips for the 4 cars/vans in our family, they've been doing all my repairs including all manner of exhaust work, struts, tie rods, front and rear brakes, oil and filter changes, rear shocks, bad ABS wheel sensor, the list goes on.
I had previously been having all these types of repairs done at other shops in Pittsfield and this business has earned my trust and loyalty in a way no other shop has. I've sent other people there and you'll be hard pressed to find lower prices anywhere. These guys are ambitious and honest. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed.β

βMy car had a loud and horrible sound when into Rufo's Muffler & Auto Service and was seen on the same day. Took around 40 minutes, and the sound was gone. Family business had the pleasure to meet Darren the 4th and his son 5th generation today.

βI came across Oliverβs while looking for an auto body shop to fix a huge red scratch across my car. Let me tell you, AMAZING. When I came in, I met with Todd who looked at my car and gave me a very reasonable price. I dropped off my car the next day and was ready very quickly. The scratch was completely gone and looked incredible, but when I came home I realized he covered a scratch we talked about the day before! Absolutely INCREDIBLE service!!!! βMy car broke down on a business trip, stranding me in Lanesborough, five hours from home. I sat in Bob's Country Kitchen talking to the wait staff trying to figure out were I could take the car to be fixed, and probably called five different places. Val at North End Auto was the ONLY ONE who wanted to help. I had the car dropped off in the morning and by mid-afternoon it was ready with a new, high-quality starter. I absolutely love this place. Val is the PERFECT EXAMPLE of a neighborhood mechanic WORTH HIS WEIGHT IN GOLD. Honest, hard working, careful, thorough and doesn't charge an arm and a leg. I could have easily been taken advantage of, being from out of town. Nope. Not here. If you're not having your car serviced by Val, you're missing out. βAbout a month ago I made an appointment to get new tires on my vehicle and an oil change the following week. Literally the next day I came out in the morning to go to work, and I had a flat. I have AAA and they came and put spare on for me. Meanwhile, I called up and asked if they could put the tires on sooner, and they got me right in, even doing the oil change! I truly appreciate everyone taking care of me during my time of need, and highly recommend them to anyone who needs service on their car.β

βIt's your local "mom n' pop" shop. I had two sudden breakdowns couple months apart. Jelly's was able to diagnose and fix my issues within 2-3 days both times. That included sourcing the right parts he didn't have on hand for my specific car. Job well done and prices reasonable.β

βI drive an f82 m4, the car is very complex, and very expensive. That being said, a mechanic with the knowledge, passion, and drive to work on vehicles like these is insanely hard to come by. I set out a few weeks ago, with some weird behavior in my transmission, to find a new mechanic and Berkshire Performance kept popping up all over. I decided to give them a try and messaged the Facebook, that day i had a reply with a basic guideline of diagnosis, and made an appointment that week. John got me in, his diagnosis was correct and within a few days my car was back on the road, shifting better than it had ever before. The amount of knowledge, the explanations given, the customer service, and the straightforward price along with the turnaround time absolutely blew me away. I own another BMW, and will be making another appointment as soon as i possibly can, because i will never let another mechanic touch my vehicles from this point forward!!!
