Best Buy is an electronics retailer offering products like televisions, radios, car starters, and antennas, with services including in-home setup. Customer experiences vary significantly. Many report positive interactions, describing the staff as super nice, approachable, knowledgeable, helpful, and professional. The store is noted for being nice and easy to navigate, with staff providing good recommendations, leading to a quick and easy in-and-out experience for some shoppers. One helpful employee provided clear explanations about product availability, positively influencing a customer's view of the store. However, there are consistent criticisms. Several reviews mention poor in-store selection, forcing customers to order items online. Staff can be inattentive, with one customer reporting being completely ignored until they flagged someone down. More seriously, a major security issue is highlighted where criminals, using information possibly leaked from the company, followed Best Buy delivery trucks. These individuals, pretending to be employees, attempted to rob customers in their homes shortly after legitimate setups. While Best Buy stated the criminals did not work for them and advised calling police, the incident underscores a severe failure in protecting customer information, creating a dangerous situation and eroding trust despite the store being a necessary service provider for many.
