Sandy Pond Campground

Hours: Based on guest reviews, Sandy Pond Campground is a great family campground with a beautiful pond, perfect for floating, especially in hot weather. The staff is friendly, helpful, and super nice, with new management making many improvements and upgrades to bathrooms, basketball, and a new dog park. There is a wonderful fenced-in dog park that pups love. Activities for kids are great, including food trucks, a Bubble Barge, scavenger hunts, movies, and a DJ for a summer dance. Most sites are nice and flat, and hookups work fine. The store across the street has fantastic subs. However, the campground is not for couples. The roads are dirt and dusty, with loads of 1-2” stones making walking an ankle twisting challenge. The sewage connection may be above the RV connection, and there is one WiFi connection for the entire campground, essentially no WiFi. Water pressure is low, especially in the morning, so a morning shower is difficult. The campground is a nice place for families and kids, and many guests plan to return.
