“The woman at the Shell Shop today was so helpful; she went out of her way to find the right box for the item I purchased. Great Customer Service for sure, at this fine retail establishment.”

“Loved visiting this cute shop, in addition to the Monty's across the street that features Christmas ornaments. Spoke with a friendly, knowledgeable staff member who helped us choose a locally-made ornament made from an oyster shell.”

“What a beautifully set up store...When we walked in, we just loved admiring all the beautiful home decor pieces and unique accent pieces. This store sells many nice things for the home that you can buy on the spot, but the store is also the base for people who want to get a professional to help decorate their homes Yates & Kennedy occupies about 500 square feet on Commercial St, and owner Mitch Yates has created areas throughout the shop that teem with personality. The shop, which has been around for over 10 years is chock-a-block full. Antelope horns lean against agate bookends, watermark pillows rest next to small oil paintings, and claw-foot candlesticks, magnifying glasses and a jewel-encrusted crown share table space. A variety of vintage wallpaper serves as backdrops to the diverse assortment. Yates has even created a space for a great assortment of espadrilles and hand screened T-shirts by his best friend, John Kennedy. The shop, like a room with character, is spirited and charming. When you visit, plan to spend some time there; you never know what you'll uncover.”
