“Took my wife’s car to Avery for a “check engine” light. The car had failed inspection, and the error code indicated a problem with the catalytic converter.
Took the car to Avery expecting the worst, as replacing the catalytic converter would have been a very expensive repair. Turned out to be a minor problem (a sensor connector that had been left unplugged by another garage that had recently worked on the car).
Greatly appreciate the honest diagnosis. They could have told us we needed an expensive repair, and we wouldn’t have known any better.”
