“I needed new tires for my personal vehicle and scheduled to have my Wife bring the car by. There was a mix up on my end about how long the tire replacement and rotation would take. My Wife was a little distraught because she had our 9 month old Son with her. Castle Tire quickly mobilized a couple of their employees to handle our job and had my Wife and Son back on the road in an hour. I've been going to Castle Tire for years now and have always been very satisfied with the quality of their work, the timely manner they complete this work in, as well as their pricing. I went to Town Fair Tire to change my car tires and had an amazing experience. Marc and Luis were incredibly kind, patient, and professional. From the very beginning, they explained everything clearly, helped me through the entire process, and made sure I felt comfortable and well taken care of.

“We’ve been taking our cars to Alewife Automotive for almost 10 years, and I’m consistently impressed with their service and kindness. We’ve had everything done from inspections to tires to repairs. They are transparent and fair, and they never tack on surprise charges. A perfect example of this was I had taken a new car to get inspected with plates to a shop closer to our home, and not only were they kind of rude to me, but they wanted to charge me $20 to put plates on. I called George at Alewife and he said to come on over, they’ll take care of it all no charge. And this is something I’m used to with them—no charges to change out a bulb, top off fluids, etc. As a woman I’ve found that the stereotype is usually true with many shops, trying to get me to buy something I don’t need or up-charge me for something I wasn’t prepared for. It’s worth the slightly longer drive to get here for their service, I don’t know why I ever try to go anywhere else!”
“I had my tire repaired at the shop, and I’m very satisfied with their service and honesty. My car has over 12,000 miles and is due for a tire rotation. While the repair was being done, I asked if the rotation could also be completed at the same time. The repair was finished very quickly, and the technician came to tell me that a rotation wasn’t needed after measuring the tread on the tires. I was pleasantly surprised by their honesty—most shops wouldn’t do that nowadays. I highly recommend this shop!”
“Robert from Mavis tire in Everette was absolutely fantastic. He was able to get me in quick and easy. We discussed a couple options for patching my tire and we eventually settled on a patch on the inside of the tire. Robert even went the extra mile and put a layer of rubber cement to really ensure no air leaks out. I also just want to put it out there that was denied service by 4 other tire places before I called Robert. I understand places maybe busy and full but I called these places 1 hour and 30 minutes before they closed and most of the places told me they were all done for the day and would not help. Hats off to Robert for getting me back in service and ready to roll for 7am the next day.”

“I’ve been going to Fahey Tire in Wakefield for about 15 years, and they’ve always taken great care of me. I recently had new rims and tires put on my truck, and they did an awesome job—quick, clean, and done right. They’ve handled my tires, alignments, and all kinds of work over the years, and I’ve never had a bad experience.
Their prices are very competitive, and you really do get what you pay for. They stand behind their work, which is one of the big reasons I keep going back. The team is easy to work with, super honest, and just overall good people.
A lot of folks don’t know they also do mechanical work—tune-ups, front end repairs, engine work—you name it. It’s great having a shop you trust that can do pretty much everything.
Highly recommend Fahey Tire. They’ve been rock solid for me for a long time.”
“Brakes were making a really loud grinding noise when I was driving. I work full time and have a 1.5 year old daughter I drive to daycare every day. Needless to say, I was worried about having to get my car into the shop and wait several hours, days, weeks to get this service done. Corey solved my problem within two hours and he came to my house! I could entertain my kid in the comfort of our house while I knew my car was in good hands. He was kind, professional, and I appreciate the honesty and efficiency. “Took my Corvette to Herb Chambers 3 times for the engine misfiring..After the 3rd visit they told me it was the transmission and to take it to a transmission mechanic in Wakefield. Within 1 hr the transmission place told me it was fine. Took it to essex County auto repair. They did a tune up in one day. Car runs like new and they did it at a excellent price. The dealership should be embarrassed,they couldn't fix the car. They had it for 3 weeks.. can't say enough about essex, thank u for fixing my car.”

“Veterans Day 2025. We were in Stoneham for their 5K race and found a screw in our tire. We called Tire King and to our amazement they were open. They couldn't get to it right away so we dropped by after the race. They took care of us on the spot and were very reasonably priced! We'll be back whenever we need tires!”

“Met Carmelo and Gus this morning when I took my 23 old truck for an inspection. I have had bad experience at other shops for simple inspections before. Not at Volsar, they were friendly, professional, and honest. I did all the work myself so I know my truck inside out and know nothing is wrong or need fixing. Volsar confirm nothing was needed besides the inspection sticker.
I will start bringing my cars here for mechanic work in the future. It’s hard to find honest and good mechanics.”
