“I was in search of a Spicher vinyl floor cloth recommended by an interior designer at a show house in Williamsburg, VA. I came across the Pura Vida Home website and I’m so glad that I did. They were able to fulfill my order amazingly fast considering it was a custom made product. Another shop estimated over 6 weeks for something similar. Daren, the shopkeeper, was in constant contact regarding the status of my order and followed up after delivery to ensure that everything was to my satisfaction. The floor cloth is absolutely beautiful and amazingly detailed. Highly recommend this shop, they were wonderful to work with!”

“Anime Zakka is a nice store located near the end of Newbury Street, close to Uniqlo and Muji. It is below ground, leading you into a place to be immersed by anime and Japanese pop culture.
I enjoyed browsing and wandering around the store, as there were many products I’ve never heard of or seen. I found Tomica cars, a product I’ve never seen in Boston before but know many car collectors may enjoy looking at. I also found many stuffed animals I never knew existed for products I like, such as Miffy.
The only downside is the products I did know were overpriced. I am a big fan of collecting lottery items, and they were nearly double the price at the store compared to what I could buy it for at online retailers.”
“I just purchased the most gorgeous tourmaline ring here. This store has so many beautiful and high quality sterling silver pieces and I have to go in every time I walk by! Sonam and Paljor are absolutely lovely and very personable. Can’t wait to come back again soon!”
“I hosted a private workshop for a friend's birthday at Albertine Press and was absolutely blown away.
The instructor was phenomenal. Not only did she expertly walk us through the printing process to create our own custom stationary, but she created a sense of welcome and fun that disarmed even the most craft-averse of our group.
It was clear to me from the moment I started working with Albertine that they cared deeply about making our experience special. They put a huge amount of effort into making our party look and feel effortless. They exceeded every expectation. I cannot recommend them highly enough!”

Unique, beautiful, fun, gifts at a reasonable price ranging from houseware to bags and jewelry; good for Father's Days, Mother's Day, housewarming, birthday, baby showers and any other gift-giving occasion!I also did the decoupage shell making class (as a birthday gift for my sister). It was a fun and unique way to spend a Sunday. And if you haven't seen the decoupage shells that Hilary makes, they are beautiful! I loved getting to make them ourselves.Hilary -- the store owner -- is fantastic! She is creative and friendly and makes a lot of the items herself.”
“This store is so cute! Davis Sq if my favorite part of Somerville, it's very neighborly and this store encapsulates what I love most about the area! The workers are so nice, going so far as personally picking up some jewelry for me that was out of stock at this location at their sister store as I don't have a car. “I ordered several ornaments from Loft & Vine and I love them! They are adorable and such good quality. And the prices were so reasonable compared to other places I've shopped for ornaments. They shipped quickly and came securely packaged with pretty printed tissue paper. The owner included her business card as well. Loft & Vine is my new go-to place for gifts and seasonal items! They also have a great selection of Boston themed items that I have my eye on.”

The gallery assistants were very friendly and happy to share with us the story of many of local artists. As tourists we bought a small painting to remind us of our trip to Boston. “Arlington has a few stores where you can buy gifts, but Arlington Centered is the one where I want to gift all the things to myself. Its right on Mass Ave across from Kickstand Cafe and is affiliated with Davis squared in Somerville. Expect to pay for a meter if you drive. There's on street parking and the Arlington Center parking lot which always has space. I always buy my sister-in-law earrings here for Christmas, but really I want them. There are funny gifts, trendy gifts, beautiful gifts. Gifts for foodies, grandmas, babies, etc. Hostess gifts, birthday gifts, holiday gifts, white elephant gifts for your yankee swap. I would not come here to buy gifts for a child. There is Henry Bears Park down the street for that. But other than that you could pretty much buy anybody a gift here.”
