“You might not expect much from a liquor store in Roxbury that shares a building with a check cashing place, but this is the exception. This place is a hidden gem of liquor store in Roxbury! BSL offers a great selection of beer, wine and spirits in Roxbury, there are not any other similar stores in the immediate area that offer the range of booze that BSL does. I have been shopping here for years and while the staff probably cannot recommend a great wine, they have an amazing selection of quality wine at really great prices. Beyond the surprising wine selection is a great staff; a few years ago I asked them to carry a particular beer, they were happy to oblige and the store now carries a nice selection of decent beer. Also noteworthy is the cheap/sale items that they have, you can pickup a great bottle of wine for $5 that would be priced at $10- $15 at other places or other random things here for cheap!”
