“I’ve been doing CrossFit consistently for almost a year. Boston based, I was staying in Petersham. RutlandCrossfit was the closest gym I could find opened on a Saturday. I came to this location not knowing what to expect. Coming in during the coldest day of the year at -10 degrees. I was greeted by the warmest welcome by Sean, Cheryl and Paul. Turned out I was the only one attending the 9 am session. They took me in with open arms and really made me work hard. Dubbed SSS - “Shitshow Sean Saturday” my workout was a functional movement based ladder workout. We started out with a pretty comprehensive warm up - jump rope, box jumps, burpees and jumping jacks. The WOD was the following - 50 thrusters, 40 knees to elbow, 30 cal row, 20 burpee box jumps, 10 chest to bars (I did jumping negatives), 20 box jump overs, 30 cal bike, 40 toes to bar and 50 wall balls (@20lbs). Sean was a very attentive coach, highly knowledgeable, really helped me improve my form, and kept me at a solid pace. I highly recommend this box. They’re a solid group of hard working and fit crew! I really hope to workout with all of them again soon! They’re right next to the Rutland Plaza.”
