Based on the reviews, Black Cat Curiosity Shoppe is a must-visit in Salem. It is a gorgeous store that feels like a museum and a mini-museum, with so much to see. There are many movie artifacts to look at, including a wand Johnny Depp used in Fantastic Beasts, a real prop from the set of Buffy (a stake), and a life size scarecrow from Howl's Moving Castle. The store has lots of unique mystery-style items and unique gifts to buy. The tea selection based upon the owner's cats is just cute, and customers are absolutely addicted, with favorites like Midnight Prowl and the Egyptian Cat flavor. The staff is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming. They are helpful without hovering, and one staff member even helped a customer set a pocket watch properly. The store is super cute with interesting decor, and there is even a throne/chair for a great photo opp. The "adoptable" plush black cats make an adorable souvenir. This shop is a fun and carefree experience and a MUST for every trip to Salem, supporting a small local business.

I accidentally dropped my lens cap here and the staff helped me look for it everywhere, so genuinely nice thank you again! The store is also super cute with lots of unique mystery-style items. Highly recommend visiting.

Went into this store not knowing what to expect and was very impressed.
First off it was a gorgeous store! Second there were so many movie artifacts to look at which was really cool! They had the wand Johnny Depp use in the Fantastic Beasts!
They also had a lot of unique gifts to buy as well!
