Initial service was fine, had a full synthetic oil change completed on my car back in December.
Flash forward to last week and it was noticed that my car was leaking oil, regularly in my driveway.
Brought it to a local mechanic for time convenience and found out the oil filter was installed incorrectly causing a quart of oil to leak over the period of 3 months.
I've reached out to the corporate and store and have not received any successful communication or follow up on my issue.
If you respect your car, please choose elsewhere, if my issue wasn't caught sooner it could have been a lot worse.

I called about the lifetime replacement pads and shoes and the manger told the desk clerk that garentee is only on defective pads... I called the corporate number and the customer service didn't have a clue and was trying to call the location that said this to me to find out what the policy was. So if you buy brakes from here just know they are not for lifetime of your car they are for when they deem them to be defective

They were considerate enough that they were fast and courteous as I had my kids with me and was obviously having a rough day (I had to get a Jumpstart and was told to get a new battery ASAP on a Sunday). But the man at the counter made me laugh. I went to check out and the man at the counter with his coworker asked me how old I was with a grin the size of Texas as I was paying and ready to leave. I was not the only customer in the room, but anyways - almost 30 years old.
He said "Oh, you look young." Okay, so you wanted to know if I was a young mom with a 3 year old, 1 year old, and very pregnant. No sorry sir, I'm married and all my kids have the same father. Thanks for the new battery and have a nice day. Might want to brush up on appropriate conversations to have with your customers. I would give 5 stars, but for professionalism, I'll take off 2 for blasting me in front of customers and the coworker next to him.

Worst experience ever! They had a promotion online get 2 tires and 2 free, I made an appointment when I get there they told me they had only 2 tires and not 4 ! So they suggested to get another brand for $140 more lol obviously I didn’t do it I know how it works with fake promotions online!

Super bad customer service! I’ve been there 1 time and that was a enough,I called on Saturday to get a simple tire rotation and a guy answer the phone and gave me attitude for no reason then when I do bring the car in they forget to tighten my bolts and he tells me that I’m gonna have to come back tomorrow to tighten the bolts on my wheel when I asked aboutta it he said it’s something they do now!!! Now my Brand new 2024 Honda accord has a wobble and they don’t want to fix it

I had a shocking experience at Pep Boys. The staff was extremely unprofessional in their communication. They became very aggressive when answering questions and seemed unwilling to work. The store closes at 6 PM, but by 5 PM, they were already refusing to take on any more tasks. This kind of behavior is highly unprofessional.

The man at the desk was rude. I told him my car issue was already diagnosed and had the paper work, but he wanted to diagnose it again, charging me over a hundred dollars. When he realized I wasn't interested, he became rude. I have never seen such a rude staff member at a mechanic shop before. It appears based on comments I have seen elsewhere, that rudeness is common with staff members in Salem. I never saw such unprofessionalism and rudeness in California, where I am originally from.

Charging 30 per tire to change them to tires I just bought from you is ridiculous,
Will not buy from here again way over priced for a service that goes with the tire
Yes a 10 dollar fee for disposal is perfectly fine
But 30 to do what should come with the tire if needed is just another way to get more money
Most places charge 20 or less and if buying 4 free

I called once to ask if they had availability, he answered and said come by and we’ll see and hung up. I called back to ask for a quote price, and when I liked the price I asked if they would do an oil change as well. The guy gave me a big groaning “oh my god” and got frustrated with me just for asking. We hadn’t even talked for a minute. Lost my business

Had a great experience. They did a great job with car and even garaged my car overnight when I dropped it off. Plus got $100 off with a coupon . They made a crappy day of dealing with Mavis idiots much better. Thank you!

I had to get an alignment done as soon as possible due to the fact I had work the next morning, and they got me sorted out in no time (1 hour). Schedule online, brought it in, and they immediately started working on it. And since I put coilovers on the car, they made sure to take their time to put it on the lift properly, and without damage. Thanks again guys!
