About Salem Witch Museum

The Salem Witch Museum brings visitors back to Salem 1692 with a dramatic history lesson. It uses stage sets with life-size figures, lighting, and a narration to provide an overview of the Witch Trials. The presentation is very well presented, informative, and an accurate account of what happened. It is dramatised but accurate, centering around an audio visual presentation detailing the hysteria. It is not a typical museum; rather, visitors listen to a pre-recorded audio with life-size visuals. This is followed by a guided tour of exhibits in the second section, titled Witches – Evolving Perceptions. This exhibit challenges guests to recognize the accused “witches” were no different than others in history and to think of witch-hunts taking place today. The museum does an excellent job at setting the scene and background information for the trials. Many visitors find it a fun, informative, and amazing visit, worth the ticket price, and absolutely recommend it. Tickets are available online.
