The Salem Inn is a wonderful and fabulous historic inn, outstanding in every aspect. It offers lovely, beautiful, cozy, comfy, and warm rooms, some with an electric fireplace. The staff is incredibly gracious, helpful, kind, hospitable, attentive, personable, professional, and on the ball. Checking in and out is seamless with convenient keyless entry. The complimentary breakfast is tasty and a complete offering with a variety of options, served in a cute dining area. The location is excellent, right next to Essex Street and within walking distance of shops, sites, restaurants, and wonderful history. Parking can be a bit challenging but is manageable. Guests highly recommend it as a first choice and a go-to for accommodations, promising to return on their next visit to Salem or the surrounding areas.
Very lovely room with an electric fireplace. Had trouble trying to close curtains because of the location of the sofa. Also, no place in the bathroom to set things for makeup or shaving. Breakfast staff was very helpful. No real maple syrup as promised! Otherwise, very nice

My experience at the Salem Inn was fabulous. I came by train to Salem and walked almost everywhere because everything was so close. The room was comfy and warm, the staff was on the ball. I’d stay there again!

Very reasonable prices. Old world feel with modern amenities. Awesome shower, comfy bed, jacuzzi is awesome and large screen tv to fall asleep to. Included with the room is a very decent breakfast that you get to choose from a menu upon check in. Definitely will be back for a third visit!
