“We happened to find Diehl Marcus & Co while in Salem in October. I have never really drank tea but was curious to try as they had such a variety. The employee (Luke) gave me recommendations and sent me home with 3 samples. I absolutely LOVE the Cottage Comfort and have now become a daily tea drinker. I have since started buying other products from them. I will be a life long customer all the way from MN! ?”

“Not only the best gift shop in Boston, this is the best gift shop I've ever been to. It's small and cozy, but enough to find something nice to take home with you.
The longtime family owned business is run by a super friendly guy who went out of his way to take good care of my daughter and I from Vegas.”
“I've always been obsessed with their work and I finally got my first tattoo here and I love it so much. They do such a good job and I know I will be returning.”
“I accidentally dropped my lens cap here and the staff helped me look for it everywhere, so genuinely nice thank you again! The store is also super cute with lots of unique mystery-style items. Highly recommend visiting.”
“We were expecting an MBTA gift shop, we didn't realise we'd find such a treasure trove of maps, signs and transport related joy. Lovely folks running it and bit of an accidental travel highlight!”
“I've been coming here for Adult Pottery Classes for 5 semesters now. Bel is a fantastic teacher, and I really gravitate to her education style. There is such a spectrum of experience/skill amongst my classmates, but the positive and collaborative environment enables us all to create alongside each other without any imposter syndrome.
I totally recommend this studio for anyone who wants to try pottery on the wheel.”
“Such a great idea and execution. We stopped here on a rainy day with our 4yo and 6yo daughters and decided to make some magic potions. I think it’s a little expensive but our kids loved making their potions.”

“Anime Zakka is a nice store located near the end of Newbury Street, close to Uniqlo and Muji. It is below ground, leading you into a place to be immersed by anime and Japanese pop culture.
I enjoyed browsing and wandering around the store, as there were many products I’ve never heard of or seen. I found Tomica cars, a product I’ve never seen in Boston before but know many car collectors may enjoy looking at. I also found many stuffed animals I never knew existed for products I like, such as Miffy.
The only downside is the products I did know were overpriced. I am a big fan of collecting lottery items, and they were nearly double the price at the store compared to what I could buy it for at online retailers.”

“This store is attached in the back to two other stores, so you can go to oak+moss, spruce home and roost if you are in a wheelchair. Very nice employees helped me go through the back hallway so I could appreciate all of what each store had. Everything was so nice and we definitely bought our share of items. I would highly recommend if you are in a wheelchair and need extra help.”
“Wonderful shop in Salem historic district away from the bustle of downtown. Don't overlook this treasure! Loved the handcrafted gifts, not mass-produced. Was there in October and found a lovely witch doll for my mother (and me, eventually). Shop owner was very honest regarding shipping costs and assuring /demonstrating to me the doll would be small enough for my airline carry-on, saving me $$ on shipping. Would love to return and see what is there when it is not October.”

“Paper and Clay is a fantastic place to find pieces by local artists or to take a pottery class and create your own unique piece of art! The pottery wheel session was fun and relaxing. The owner, Leslie, is very knowledgeable and the class was the perfect way to introduce pottery to a beginner. .”
“I hosted a private workshop for a friend's birthday at Albertine Press and was absolutely blown away.
The instructor was phenomenal. Not only did she expertly walk us through the printing process to create our own custom stationary, but she created a sense of welcome and fun that disarmed even the most craft-averse of our group.
It was clear to me from the moment I started working with Albertine that they cared deeply about making our experience special. They put a huge amount of effort into making our party look and feel effortless. They exceeded every expectation. I cannot recommend them highly enough!”

“Kolbo is the most beautifully curated Judaica shop I have visited in the U.S. the team has great taste and a keen eye. This is not your bubbie’s Judaica shop. The stores is full of light and offers a combination of modern and traditions items, from kiddish cups to katubahs. Also a great collection of Jewish art and jewelry. Great vibe. Highly recommend.”
“What a fabulous giftshop. I signed up for a class that was held in the back of the store. The class was to make a hand scorched cheese tray. Before class I had the chance to walk around the store and look at all the fabulous gifts. Staff was super nice and helpful when I had questions. They offer great hands on class all year...and a wide selection of cute gifts. I look forward to taking another class and buying gifts there...”

“My favorite shop in Salem. Owners were so sweet and the selection of goods could not be beaten. I loved that it wasn't the typical touristy stuff you find in every other shop. There was still a good amount of Salem-centric souvenirs, but also an extremely thoughtfully curated array of goods. Definitely a must when visiting Salem.”

“I ordered several ornaments from Loft & Vine and I love them! They are adorable and such good quality. And the prices were so reasonable compared to other places I've shopped for ornaments. They shipped quickly and came securely packaged with pretty printed tissue paper. The owner included her business card as well. Loft & Vine is my new go-to place for gifts and seasonal items! They also have a great selection of Boston themed items that I have my eye on.”
“If you come to Salem . I can not say enough great things about Steph shop. Great merchandise, excellent customer service . It wouldn’t be a trip to Salem for me if I didn’t buy something from a wonderful shop like Salem Bespoke Boutique she has great prices and awesome products. So make it a point to see this shop you won’t regret it!”
“I had high hopes for this florist since I wanted something special for a friend's birthday. The flowers were beautiful, but the arrangement was a bit off. Still, the service was nice, and they tried to help me find something I liked. Overall, decent experience.”

“Favorite place for special, creative gifts and excellent perfume you can't find at Sephora! I love that the fragrance brands at shake the tree change at least annually so I always find new ones that I hadn't seen before. The store buyer has excellent taste. “I've been shopping at Cardsmart for almost 20yrs now and I wouldn't go anywhere else to buy greeting cards. They have large selection of cards and they're all half price.
They also sell all kinds of things such as jewelry, children's toys, apparel and accessories.”
