“I used to bring my dog to Dr. Duca , but after the pandemic I changed to a closer vet. My dog is difficult at the vet so I switched to a larger staff. Dr. Duca is very knowledgeable and I appreciate his integrity in that he wasn't looking to charge me or add on extras. I didn't get the chance to thank him for caring for my dog when he was a puppy and early years. My dog is now 12 and doing well. I would have continued with Dr. Duca, however my dog can be a handful and we just needed a bigger staff to handle him. But thanks Dr.Duca.”

“Craig Cox and his staff are beyond awesome! Watching him do an exam on your dog is so reassuring! He feels every inch for lumps bumps etc. He rotates their legs paws etc checking for limitation or pain. Orders age appropriate labs and is not an alarmist but discusses approaches with you. When it was time for us to say goodbye to our 4 th fur baby he was very supportive, accommodating and kind. I love that my dogs always saw the same vet who knew them well.we will Always be grateful to him and the BEST vet assistant ever Maria”
“Melrose Animal Clinic has such friendly staff and providers! They’re always so sweet and friendly not only to us humans, but they truly care about the pets they’re examining!
Our two cats, Feather and Twinkie, are not fans of vet visits, but they quickly know they’re in good hands as soon as the exams begin. Our Feather is missing a back paw so I really appreciate our provider feeling her leg and joint to ensure Feather has a great life!

“We are deeply grateful to VCA City Cats Hospital, especially Dr. Palopoli, for the exceptional care they provided to our beloved cat, Meatloaf. Dr. Palopoli is an outstanding vet — incredibly smart, attentive, and deeply compassionate. She has a fantastic bedside manner and truly knows her stuff.
In Meatloaf’s final appointments, she made sure he was comfortable and cared for every step of the way. When the time came to say goodbye due to his age, Dr. Palopoli guided us through the process with so much empathy. She explained everything ahead of time so there were no surprises, and gave us the time and space we needed to be with him. Afterward, she even sent a personalized card that meant so much to us during such a difficult moment.
The rest of the staff was also excellent — always professional, kind, and respectful in every appointment we had. I wish I remembered everyone's names because they all deserve credit for the thoughtful and skilled care they provide.

“I moved to Boston in June 2023 and was referred to South Bay by our dog walker. From the beginning we have found the team and veterinarians to be compassionate, responsive and skilled on their care of our two dogs. Recently our 12 year old retriever mix has had health issues and I’m sad to say that yesterday we had to make the difficult decision to euthanize her. Dr Baker was so incredibly kind and patiently talked us through options, gave us privacy to make the decision, and allowed us to gather the family to be with our beloved dog as she crossed the rainbow bridge. I am grateful to have had this support during this sad time and going forward to care for our other dog.”
“The staff was courteous, knowledgeable and compassionate. Although the news was not what we were expecting/hoping, we were treated with such care. The follow-up the next day, on the Doctor’s day off, was greatly appreciated. The only thing that could have been better was the wait times….unfortunately that was out of any one’s hands. “We were very happy with Dr. Chelsea. She had obviously spent time reviewing our questionnaire and listened to our concerns attentively. She thoroughly answered all our questions and explained the reasons behind her recommendations clearly. Everyone was great! The woman who checked us in was very accommodating. Slider seemed to have a rude fascination with Rita (I hope I'm remembering her name correctly), yet she was nonplussed and handled it well. As I mentioned, Dr. Chelsea was fabulous. And two other staff members even pitched in at the end to corral Slider when he attempted a jail break. Overall, the vibe was very calm and welcoming.”
