This hidden gem has 2-3 miles of wooded trails for trailing running, dog walking, and light hiking. While the paved rail trail and the small beaches along the way are fun to explore, it's the wooded trails that are a win for me when I want a shaded run that's easy on the knees. Trails are well maintained and easy to navigate. Parking is available from the Main St Rail Trail Lot. For the wooded trail, you can either access it from the smaller secondary lot or take the main Rail Trail about a quarter mile down towards the river until you start seeing small paths on your left. There is a dirt service road with power lines running parallel to the rail trail that you will cross over. These power lines will also help navigate you back if you get turned around. I had to knock of a star because the trails are not marked so you can get turned around. Luckily the loops are short so you can't get too lost but don't be surprised if you end up in someone's driveway or come across a dirt road you weren't expecting. There are a few spots along the loops that have benches if you want to take a break and enjoy the views.

One of my all time favorite trails on the cape, just off the bike path in Yarmouth along the beautiful bass River!

About 1.8 miles from parking lot around loop and back. Mostly flat with a few inclines. Lots of birds and small crabs. Entrance is near south end of old South Dennis cemetery. Follow road to houses and bear left to follow tidal river shore and marshes. Saw 3 lady slippers on trail.

I love the hiking trails in Cape Cod, and we did several the last time we visited the Cape.

It may be worth 4 stars, but maps doesn't really take you there, but its not hard to find, just walk down the dirt cartpath a ways and you find multiple entrances to the area. I spent more time looking where the trail was than on it, and since time was short I don't think we really got the full experience.

Lovely, wooded area bordered on one side by Bass River. Several trails wind through the trees and can provide an easy and pleasant hour's hike. Easy access from Bass River Road and with plenty of parking.

Nice little hike/walk. Wish trails were better marked. When we were heading towards someones home we turned back and found another path to follow.

Beautiful area with a couple of quiet, scenic hiking trails. We had to ask to find the trailhead (it's not the Cape Cod Rail Trail although you can access the trail here) and it was worth it. Beautiful views along two loop trails as well as several other paths through the woods. We were lucky enough to see a flock of wild turkeys one morning.
