“I stopped here on Saturday and their sign says “SATURDAY DEALS ASK” The 2 managers Jay and Carmen told me about the deals and coupons. They helped me set it up and my total at the register was about $39 and I spent $16.32. These guys have a very nice stocked and clean store. Their customer service and patience with me was excellent. I will be stopping here every Saturday to get these deals. Thank you Dollar General! BIG SAVINGS GREAT STAFF, WILL BE COMING BACK! ?”
“This store is great, and is a huge staple for our area. I really hope they don't close it down! So many excellent deals and the customer service is also consistently good here. The prices are low and you can often find niche items here that aren't anywhere else or premium products you would need a membership to access elsewhere. Keep up the good work and stick around!”
“I went to .the Chicopee, MA, (store #237) location to purchase shelving. Evan Lamb was the worker who helped me in the store with checking item numbers to make sure that I had the correct shelving. He also put all of my heavy boxes in my car. He is an amazing person and worker. He deserves the very best position and monetary promotion for his professionalism and knowledge of the store products and all of his help. He truly is an asset to Ocean State Job Lot.”
“Ocean State Job Lot in Holyoke is a hidden gem for bargain hunters! Every visit feels like a treasure hunt, and I always leave with more than I planned, but at incredible prices. The store is well-organized, making it easy to find everything from household goods to groceries. I recently went in looking for gardening supplies and was delighted to find a wide selection of quality products at unbeatable prices. They even had some unique items that I hadn't seen elsewhere. The staff here are always friendly and willing to help. During my last visit, an associate went out of their way to help me find a specific item. Their customer service is top-notch, making the shopping experience even better. What I love most about Ocean State Job Lot is the value for money. Whether you're stocking up on essentials or looking for something special, you can count on finding great deals. It's become my go-to spot for all sorts of shopping needs. If you haven't checked out this location yet, I highly recommend it. You'll be pleasantly surprised by the variety and savings!”
“Well it's not actually 5$ and below anymore in case people don't know, they have stuff for 10$ and more. But they did have stuff I was looking for and staff was helpful. Lot's of cheap stuff though that probably deserves to be at Dollar Tree (DON'T GO TO THAT PLACE!) lol.”
“Use to go this place everything I need all day long from dairy grocery to business needs always happy the Employeee are very dedicated very local business feel not like a big giant grocery chain environment”
“Don't think everything will be a dollar, common sense...some items you should check for expiration date, do your homework, sometimes you are not saving , most of the items found here will be at your supermarket...but some aren't....also avoid the crowds,.”
“The experience was very good. I found everything I was looking for. I like this store because it transports me to the past, it reminds me of my grandparents since they had many things in their houses, which I find in this place. The feeling is very pleasant.”
“I love going to this store. My friend and I call it. The good Dollar tree store is open. It has been clean. People are nice. I love the cashiers they smile they laugh. You learn to get to know them and they stay there. That’s something to say about the management these people stay they’re nice. They keep up good stock if they don’t have it out and they have it they’ll go get it that’s another thing I like it’s a great store.”
“Pretty good selection on the shelves and like the sign says, everything is a dollar. Last time I went to a store like this only half the items were a dollar and the rest were more. I'll be going back for more soon.”
“Store is always clean ,staff is friendly service is fast .Thank you I really do like this store please don't get rid of the hand soap Dove that's my favorite ?”
“I stopped in here with a friend and was pleasantly surprised by all they have to offer at very good prices..... I believe most items are $1.25 with some items higher. Good for quick visits and much better than the usual convenience store with much better prices. Plenty of parking and lots of items to choose from including food, bath products, kitchen products, paper goods etc, etc.”
“Must visit if you are an international student! You can get a lot of stuff for the cheapest possible price (specially organizing boxes) Go check maybe you get something you want for a dollar and half !”

The store is clean, well-organized, and easy to navigate. Staff members are friendly and helpful, making shopping quick and pleasant. A great option for budget-conscious shoppers seeking quality groceries.”
“This local store is exceptionally clean and offers a selection of essential items for quick shopping trips, making it a convenient alternative to larger retailers like Stop & Shop. The staff has consistently been friendly, which has led me to choose this store as my preferred destination for small purchases. Overall, it surpasses the previous Save-A-Lot location in terms of quality and service.??”
“This is a great store for the Hispanic style cooking we do...it was clean and had a little of everything in there. ??? Great prices on the meat selection also! ????”

“This is by far the cleanest and most organized store I’ve ever been in! Every aisle is tidy, shelves are perfectly stocked, and it’s clear that the staff takes great pride in maintaining a welcoming environment. The customer service is top-notch — everyone is friendly and helpful. A special shoutout to the store manager, Morayma. She is always smiling, greeting customers with genuine warmth, and clearly leads by example. Her dedication to keeping the store in such excellent condition doesn’t go unnoticed. You can tell she truly cares about both her team and the customer experience.?”
“I must prefice this by saying: it's my favorite store. So my review may be a tad skewed by my own bias. It's a great little one stop shop. Pricing is average but, you'll find a great sale from time to time. The staff is pleasant, mostly helpful. There's not much else to say. If you're in Easthampton, it's like old faithful. Highly recommend.”
“This store has been closed for at least 6 to 8 weeks because of no AC and I guess they also closed in the winter for the same problem with the heat. We really need a dollar store open in this area so I hope they're not going to be closed for Good. Seems like they need to update the heating and air conditioning system so I don't know if they own the building or if they pay rent on it but they're losing a lot of money by being closed for so long which is a shame for both them and the customers who rely on them.”
Burlington Stores is giving its locations a major makeover. The off-price retailer has already transformed about half of its 1,115 stores and plans to complete the redesign across its entire fleet by the end of 2026. The company calls this makeover "Store Experience 2.0." Gone are the cramped aisles and confusing layouts that once defined discount shopping. Instead, Burlington is creating wider walkways, organized sections, and clearer signs to help shoppers find what they need.
Dollar General is adding more of its private label food offerings to stores, following similar moves by big retailers like Walmart and Amazon as store brands keep growing in popularity. The store is launching new items under its own labels, including ice cream, cinnamon rolls, coffee syrups, and salad dressings. The move comes as store brand sales reached $271 billion in 2024, up nearly 4% from 2023.
Daiso, the beloved Japanese retailer known for its variety of affordable household goods, is expanding further in the U.S. market. This week, the company is celebrating the grand openings of three new stores in Texas and California. On Saturday, Aug. 10, Daiso debuted an 8,000-sq.-ft. location in Beaumont, Texas, at Dowlen Towne Center, as well as two Southern California stores - a 6,319-sq.-ft. space in Van Nuys at Mid Valley Marketplace and a 5,200-sq.-ft. store in Westminster at Westminster Center.
Dollar Tree is moving into 170 former 99 Cents Only stores, marking a big shift in the discount retail landscape. The company announced Wednesday it's taking over leases in Arizona, California, Nevada, and Texas, with plans to reopen the stores under its own brand as early as fall 2024.
Ollie's Bargain Outlet just landed a great deal of its own, winning a $14.6 million bankruptcy auction for 11 former 99 Cents Only store locations across Texas. The discount retail chain pounced after 99 Cents Only abruptly went out of business in March, shuttering all 371 of its stores in California, Arizona, Texas, and Nevada. Ollie's quickly made an opening "stalking horse bid" to grab over a dozen of the empty properties.
