When it finally came out again, I had called in the morning, hoping they had gotten some in their delivery. Was told they had not gotten any in but was more than welcome to call back to check on future deliveries. A few hours later, they called me saying they had gotten some in and didn't know because it was mixed in with another brand. They put it behind the counter for me and didn't overcharge me like another package store did.”
“A great family owned establishment. Had been serving the neighborhood for decades.
Excellent service and attention to detail. As of 2024, they still have 2 nips for a $1.00 and also $0.50 lighters (post COVID expenses may change that).
Open until later than most stores in the area.

“Big store with a wide selection to choose from. Some great choices for bloody Mary mixes that I haven't seen before as well. Plenty of variety for all price points. The recycling center is awesome and super helpful! Staff are friendly and courteous. Difficult to find another store of this quality, keep up the good work.”

“They've got a wide variety of options here! I used to come here to cash my pay checks many years ago b4 I had a bank acct and it was a little awkward as there wasn't too much room for it. We had to make a thin line going down the length of the store blocking a ton of coolers in teh process. And apparently ALOT of people did the same cuz there was a long line quite often! Well They've since moved check cashing outta there into the place next door so it's no longer in the way of shoppers and check cashers are no longer squeezed against the wall at the side/back of the store!! Ive recently gone in to get some stuff at my friend's request, and I don't drink, so looking for beer and booze isnt a highlight for me! But the workers here were VERY informative and helpful! One guy who wasn't even the one to cash me out even offered to help me get it all out to my car!! I was very shocked and pleased! As I mentioned I don't LOVE shopping for beer and booze but the guys at this place made it a whole lot LESS painful for me!! Thats where I'll be headed next time the favor presents itself!!”
“I’ve been coming to TJ’s for years. Even waited until their new shiny store opened! Running a family owned store, Sam and Joyce are very accommodating to your wants or needs. The entire staff is very friendly and helpful and very courteous to anyone who walks in. And the store is immaculately organized and clean. Now if I could just win on their scratch tickets! ?”
“This place has been in Springfield for decades and has changed ownership a few times. The current owners are very friendly for the most part and the prices are not bad. You can always find a decent deal on Scotch. I would just say be careful about what time you go into this location because there are always some unsavory characters hanging out in the back at night, sometimes in the day as well. Just use the front door. Let's say that.”

“I was visiting from North Carolina for Christmas. I popped in on the spur of the moment, hoping to maybe find some bourbons that I can't find in NC. I wasn't expecting much, but boy, was I surprised! They had an extremely nice selection to choose from, and I ended up selecting a bottle of Blanton's, which wasn't even the best thing they had!!! But what made the visit extra special was the friendliness of the staff, especially the manager who made me feel like an old regular, showing me what he had and making recommendations. If I lived in the area, I would definitely become an old regular!

“Love this liquor store. I usually avoid going anywhere else if possible. The staff are AMAZING, they have a good selection of hard liquors, beers, wines. They also sell lottery tickets which I have found to be the only place I have any luck, and it's just a good vibe all around. They deal with all types of characters and I've never seen them disrespect anyone or lose there professionalism regardless of how customers might be acting. Definitly give it a 5 star rating”
