“Frank's is actually one of the better liquor stores that I have gone to because they keep the liquor behind the counter!! There may be some people outside that may make you feel uncomfortable but that's only if you're heartless and to bougie for your own good!! ?But if you ever need any warm nips then make sure you ask a supervisor because I get quarter pint fireballs all the time, & a couple workers there say that there are no warm ones only because they don't want to walk to the back to get them. I feel that they're lazy and I don't want to accommodate but little do they know it is hurting the business.”

Good place to go if you need a state inspection, can recommend.These kinds of things are not typically fun and tend to be lousy with opportunities for things to go wrong, so I verified process by phone before showing up. “My low tire pressure monitor went off when I was driving to work this morning and after work I stopped here to get some air in my tires. I only had 50 cents in quarters but the machine takes $1.00. I went inside to see if I could purchase something and then get cash back so I could fill my tires. When I asked the man at the register said that he would just give me the 50 cents. I was not expecting this at all, and he was so kind!! I didn’t get his name but his kind act helped me to make it back home safely!”

“Seriously some of the best rice and beans in Springfield. Pork roast is always the bomb. Boneless chicken is outstanding. If you're getting a plate, get there early, lunchtime is very busy and some days they're almost out of the roast pork by 1:00 or 2:00. I can't express enough, how impressed I am with the rice and beans. Sometimes I go just for that alone.”

“I've been going to this store for 2 years, 5 morning a week at about 5:20am, and the staff are always nice, the place has great coffee (much better and cheaper than DD across the X) and the place is usually well kept. Now, I admit the midmorning and afternoon crew are not always very friendly, but they have a couple long time people there that are great. But, I go for the coffee which is great.”

“Wheelers is only a block from my house, and they don't always have an item or it maybe out of stock. But, the last two times I went to Walgreens for some basics (eggs, milk, shredded cheese), I struck out both times at Walgreens, but Wheelers came through in a pinch. They may not carry everything or have what you need in stock, but in those two incidences they came through. They are open to 10pm nightly so in an emergency being a block away I don't have to make a long flip and travel to a major grocery store. The title "Convenience Store" is not a Misnomer. They are close and they are convenient, and we still need them in our lives.”
