“Went to see Patrick on the recommendation of a co-worker after another shop broke off some bolts and therefore said was unable to replace my AC compressor and condenser on my Tacoma. Patrick said to leave the truck with him for a day so he could assess the extent of the damage the other shop did. Within 2 hours he called saying he confirmed the compressor needed replacement but the condenser was OK. He also gave me a VERY reasonable estimate for repairs and said he could finish it that day. WOW!!! Everything is back up and running for just over 1/2 of what the other shop was going to charge. I've found my new go-to mechanic!!! Thanks Patrick.”

“I’ve been going to Fahey Tire in Wakefield for about 15 years, and they’ve always taken great care of me. I recently had new rims and tires put on my truck, and they did an awesome job—quick, clean, and done right. They’ve handled my tires, alignments, and all kinds of work over the years, and I’ve never had a bad experience.
Their prices are very competitive, and you really do get what you pay for. They stand behind their work, which is one of the big reasons I keep going back. The team is easy to work with, super honest, and just overall good people.
A lot of folks don’t know they also do mechanical work—tune-ups, front end repairs, engine work—you name it. It’s great having a shop you trust that can do pretty much everything.

“Took my Corvette to Herb Chambers 3 times for the engine misfiring..After the 3rd visit they told me it was the transmission and to take it to a transmission mechanic in Wakefield. Within 1 hr the transmission place told me it was fine. Took it to essex County auto repair. They did a tune up in one day. Car runs like new and they did it at a excellent price. The dealership should be embarrassed,they couldn't fix the car. They had it for 3 weeks.. can't say enough about essex, thank u for fixing my car.”

“I don't think I've ever encountered such kind and empathetic people during a car crisis throughout my life. I had quite an insane situation that happened to me on a Friday afternoon on the way to my brother's wedding where at one point I got a flat tire. Triple A towed me to this place and these guys were genuinely good people who helped me out through a time of high stress and craziness. Most garages get a reputation of trying to rip people off, but I can with full honesty say everything I experienced here was the complete opposite of that. God bless this place.”

“I have always valued their honesty above all! Following a standard maintenance visit my car dealer informed me I needed two new tires - one had a nail in it. They would take care of it then. I refused. Went to Hogan - they inspected, did test drive and said tires were fine. I have been a customer ever since. My experience with dealership was not my first nor will it be my last where ageism rears its ugly head. I am a 75 year old widow, gray hair, 4’10” and apparently that profile can be interpreted differently by others. I have no need to share the times I took on daunting challenges and won. Hogan Tire treats every customer with respect and transparency!”

“I drove my company’s Mercedes Sprinter van all the way from North Carolina and it started having issues and wouldn’t start. I got it towed to Ryal Side and the guys were able to identify that the wrong battery was put into the van.
Turns out it needed a gel battery as opposed to a regular one, and they went out of their way to go pick the new battery up and get me up and running as fast as possible. Very much appreciated!!”
“Three off us ladies were traveling in a rental car from out of state when our car started making a scary noise. We just happened to be in front of Sullivan tire and auto in Peabody so we pulled into the parking lot. The wonderful amazing guy named Drew came out and helped diagnose the problem. We needed a tow but the guys invited us in to call roadside, charge our phones, gave us coffee. I was in a very stressful situation I’d never been in before far from home but Drew made me feel like my dad was there helping us out. You are so lucky to have him. What a nice bunch of guys and a great business. Their sign says something about treating customers like family. It’s very true. Spend your money here!”

“I am up visiting a friend in Salem, MA and on the drive up here started to hear a terrible wining sound from the front driver side wheel. I called Jim on my way up and he was so friendly and immediately put me at ease. I visited Auto Haus the next morning and after waiting a short period of time, they put the car up, took a quick look, and bent the brake dust shield quickly back into place. So easy breezy! He also told me all about the history of Salem while I waited. If I lived here, this would absolutely be my go-to spot.”

“(Minus one star for a bit of a long wait/it can be unclear what they are doing when) but otherwise, this place is great. You can tell that they are eager to help. I got a flat tire on Saturday and as I was down the road, I stopped by. Not only did they let me walk in without an appointment, but they didn’t have the right size tire for my car and went above and beyond to put a spare on so I could get home safe. They also offered to order a tire for me to come back Monday and have installed. Great service and such a kind owner.”
“First time at Sullivan Tires, I was impressed with the experience. Sean S. helped me, he went through several options with me , they took my Ford Explorer and had everything done in the same day. I got Goodyear WeatherReady 2 tires and they look great.
