“I went in for a passport photo after phoning to see if an appointment was needed (it wasn’t for a Tuesday or wednesday) No one in lobby or behind the counter. A quick press of a bell summoned Melissa, the most cheerful, helpful, and efficient customer service person I had dealt with in years. She was a wealth of information on the process, and after taking the photo, she showed it to me for my approval. Wow ?. The reviews talking about rude service can’t possibly be about this ray of sunshine ?.We need to clone her! Thank you Melissa!”
“Looks like FedEx has a deal with Walgreens drug stores to function as a staffed FedEx drop off location. Just go to the cashier in front. Service was efficient. My item was already packaged so I can't comment on the availability of packing materials (boxes, envelopes).”

I called the local office in Groton and spoke with one of the team members there who was very helpful, offering to check the details on where the package was dropped and call me back. I got a call back a couple hours later and they had found where it got dropped off - the package was at my house another hour later. Great service!”

“TLDR: Established location, but the problem is it's downtown and parking is very limited. Counter service has always been great when needed, but there is a self-service kiosk that handles a lot of my needs so that is a huge plus.
Details: The Leominster Post Office that's downtown is a mainstay. It offers every service the USPS has including a self-service kiosk.
I avoid going here though because the traffic and parking is a major hassle. There's on-street parking in front and across the street plus two small lots on either side of the building. Either option isn't ideal due to traffic and the lots are small in size holding a total of eight or nine cars.
The interior lobby is well maintained, spacious, and bright. Although the layout is odd. Against the farthest left wall is the self-service kiosk and receptacles for prepaid packages. Have regular stamped envelope(s) to mail? That receptacle is in the middle.
It's a little confusing have to crisscross the lobby instead of having all self-service and drop-off receptacles closer together. Maybe it's because the building is older?
Since this is a main office, it can be busy. The clerk-staffed counter is to the far right and can queue up fast depending on the time of day. Even if there is a long line, the clerks are efficient in managing the volume so wait time isn't huge.
Sometimes I'm in line and they'll pick out people who have simple, quick transactions like getting a book of stamps or dropping off a pre-labeled package and need to pay which is a smart way to operate.
Parking issues and the odd lobby layout aside, my experiences here have always been great compared to other post offices. Experiences can and may vary, but for me, when I need to go to a post office, the Leominster office experience is consistent.”
“Nick was an extremely helpful person at the service desk. He was polite, quick, efficient and had an excellent customer service attitude. That was surprising to me because he told me he had to be on his feet virtually the whole day. I guess that puts an end to My idea of working for the post office unless I can get a part-time job!By the way if, somebody helps you at any kind of business or service and has a really good attitude, make a point of telling them so. I know from decades as a business owner that finding people with a good customer service attitude is harder than people think. so the next time somebody does the good job make sure to tell them so, because I assure you hear a lot more negative comments than positive ones! In case you haven’t noticed, the last few years there are a lot of people in custom service that shouldn’t be in any kind of customer facing job period!!!”
