“Very cool spot. Went in looking for a specific Bandai model line and found it within five seconds of entry. After that, exploring the shop was fascinating. They seem to have laid it out from low to high difficulty projects, from the front to the back. Up front were my silly Japanese robot models, then shelves of TTRPG textbooks, then printable miniatures, all the way back to the store with the historically accurate scale models, history books, and tabletop terrain materials.
Very cool, will be back for more Bandai stuff.”
“Always a good experience here - even when returning a glass carboy bought new yesterday that came out of the factory carton sporting a gouge in the glass (bad juju).”
“Absolutely knowledgeable in all sports cards and memrobilia. They welcome you and give you the best advice on selling. They are so good with trading and buying cards. Would recommend them to anyone who is in the hobby or just starting to getting in it. First class establishment.”
“Very cool owners and a nice little shop! They were super nice to my mom who called ahead of time to double check that product was in stock! Will definitely be going back for future purchases! :)”
“Great prices on USA trains and fast shipping trains arrive quickly. And if you need parts they have it. I hope to get out to the store sometime. Great customer service to.”
“Our family loves Battleground! They're one of the few places that still carries Lorcana cards, and we're so happy they do. They're very kid friendly, and are always so kind. They've consistently gone above and beyond offering answers and solutions. Brianna has been especially wonderful, and has even given our daughter free promotional cards and stickers. They make our day every time we come in, and we're so happy to have such a great local game store so close by!”
“Stopped in the shop to try and get rid of some cards and although we couldn't come to a deal. The staff was very polite and knowledgeable. The shop was very cool. Definitely worth just stopping in.l”
“I've been very impressed with the customer service. Jim carries a great selection of kites and kite gear. We purchased the 13 foot Rainbow Bol and can't wait to get out to the beach to fly it.”
“Fair is Fair and when buying something as a customer or selling your own items that is what you will get...no hustle but all honesty!
Thank-you Charles, it was a pleasure being a seller with you”
“I love Michael's for craft supplies, holiday decorations, and little fun items that I didnt know I needed. I found everything for my latest project, and left with a little bit of nostalgia, some strawberry Pop rocks.”
“Jessica Scott is the best employee that works at Michael’s in Danvers ma. Energy abounds, always smiling. And always there does she ever get a day off? She needs to be rewarded…..truly rewarded”
“I've had 12 custom framing projects done here in the past 2.5 years, and I could not be happier with how ever single one has turned out. The whole framing team there is awesome to work with and they are kind and professional. If there has been any issue with any of my projects, they've been totally willing to work with me to make sure it's fixed. I really appreciate them and I wouldn't go anywhere else. I also love their large selection of frames, mattes, and other choices for custom framing.”
“What can I say...I LOVE Michael's and find myself feeling happy whenever I go there. They have every decorating, crafting, art, baking, party supply item you could possibly need. The prices are great. The staff is nice and helpful. I especially love coming in during fall, Halloween and Christmas times as the decorations are always so fun to look at.”

“I just want to give a special thanks to the two wonderful staff members who filled and arranged a massive quantity of helium balloons for me last weekend. I know it was a lot of work and I really appreciate your patience and kindness. The balloons looked amazing (my 5-year old was overjoyed) and they are still going strong 5 days later despite the cold weather. Thank you!”
“Awesome card shop! Jim and his son are really nice people! They are so welcoming, friendly and are always excited about helping you when looking for the product you want. They are very knowledgeable! This store always has the best products and plenty of them, at good prices! I feel good buying here to know that I will be getting a good product and that I get to support such a nice guy in Jim! Really nice family owned business with kind-hearted people!”
“Very friendly owner. Great selection of boxes in a variety of sports and categories. The owner was very knowledgeable. Very simple shop that is straight to the point.”
“I like this location a lot. I could spend all day in here thinking about what new projects I want to start (and maybe actually finish!). The employees are friendly, knowledgeable, and are always happy to help. Also, I think the rewards program is great! I've gotten so many great coupons and vouchers to pay for my endless need for crochet supplies. (Everyone who knits and/or crochets knows that it always takes more yarn than you think, even if you already got extra! ?)
Overall, it's really a great store, but I'd be remiss to not mention a few minor grievances I have. First and foremost: CROCHET HOOKS! Where did they go?? It seems that the hook isle hasn't been restocked for at least 5 months. I'm always losing my small-guage Susan Bates in-line aluminum hooks with rubber grip, and I constantly need to buy new ones. There aren't even any alternative brands for anywhere near a reasonable price! I need all sizes 4.0mm and below.
I am loyal to certain brands, as are many customers. And that brings me to my second grievance. Why are all the good brands of yarn being supplanted by a crappy low-quality brand called Loops N' Threads. I need Caron Simply Soft (a few skeins here and there on the shelf, but no variety and the quantity is always scarce!). The other brands I like are the Caron "pound of love", but this store does not carry enough color variety or enough skeins that are the same dye lot. That is also true about my other favorite: Lion Brand. There is less variety every time I go. No consistency. Another important crochet supply I can't find at this store are waterproof foam blocking boards that fit like puzzle pieces. Am I missing something?
Don't get me wrong - I still love this store! When I'm bored, or I am babysitting my 6-year old niece, I go here and ALWAYS find some cool project to do, book to read or game to play. They carry many unique products and I always find novelties, gizmos and gadgets. I was very happy to find all kinds of slime kits (because that's our favorite!),beads, paints, coloring books, model kits, cake decorating gadgets, origami paper, stationary, clay, colored pencils, *gel pens*, paint markers, storage containers, candles, holiday decorations, lights, CANDY ?, and so much cool stuff for kids (to get them to stop staring at screens all day!).
My only other comment, and it's controversial to say this, but here it goes:
I HATE PAPER BAGS. I cannot carry home pounds of yarn and other stuff in those useless bags. Oh, you want me to pay for a cloth bag? We'll, I certainly would if you had them in stock. Last time I was there my only option was to buy a $5 durable plastic bag. I shouldn't have to pay for bags, in my opinion. What if I had purchased a canvas, white yarn, drawing paper, or something fragile and I walked him in a light drizzle? I'll tell you from experience that I never make it out of the parking lot without my bag tearing and my purchases sometimes getting broken or ruined. What are you guys thinking?? Give your customers a darn plastic bag! Maybe I'll be able to USE it and even RE-USE it! It's so absurd that you refuse to provide what is a standard, super-reasonable, necessary expectation at ANY OTHER STORE. I usually bring my own bag, but my trips here aren't always planned, and on my unplanned trips always result in more purchases, so... yeah...
I need quality plastic shopping bags, <4.0mm Susan Bates crochet hooks, blocking boards, and more variety of quality yarn brands, like Caron, Lion Brand and most importantly, Caron Simply Soft. Then I'll give you 5 ? s.”
“I want to thank Mia so much for all of her help. She was extremely professional, kind and funny.!!!!
Since the closing of Joan’s fabrics, I have depended on Michael’s and they are outstanding!
Thankyou too Jessica as well for Your creativity and help with the helium balloons!”
“The mall where Michaels is located in Burlington, MA used to have a party store where you could get balloons. That store is long closed, and we only recently realized that Michaels can provide balloons. We had a special birthday celebration this month, and we ordered two dozen specialty and colored balloons to decorate the house. We could do everything on-line, the balloons were priced well, they were available when promised, and 9 days after the celebration, they are still floating!! Thank you!!”

“I have been going to this shop for 5 years now although it has been around for as long as I can remember in my preteen years. Evan’s competitive, realistic pricing is appreciated in a market currently being ravaged by scalpers. He has also ordered TCG supplies for me before upon request. Great place and happy to have it in town!”
“This coin shop and its owner are the best in the business. Peter (AND his staff) are very knowledgeable, professional, patient to answer a myriad of questions, have a fantastic inventory, will share with me directly what a distributor is charging to purchase the coins I am looking for, charges very fairly for coins he sells--the list of positives for this shop go on and on. Sometimes when I can't make it into the shop to ask questions because I can't fit it into my schedule Peter is always happy to answer my questions over the phone. His advice is so helpful when I am trying to make a decision on what to buy and when.
I can't say enough good things for the positive experiences I have had at Northshore Numismatics. Thank you, Peter!”
