Overall the experience was good. But I just didn’t connect well with the provider I was given, and didn’t feel like a good fit.

I couldn't find reviews on "simpler cases'' when I was researching this facility so I thought I'd share my experience. My goal for treatment was to preserve my fertility since my partner and I aren't ready for kids.I had one virtual appointment with my doctor and that was our only interaction the entire cycle. I had an issue I wanted to discuss with her mid process but her receptionist said her next availability was two months away.Their communication isn't great. The nurse contacted me to order BC when I had already been taking the pills for 5 days. I was only supposed to take them for 15 days but ended up taking them for a month because there was some internal comms issue. When I called for clarification, the nurse I spoke to was very curt and told me "I shouldn't be this uninformed about the process because all the information is on their site." Mind you, this was a very new process to me and their site isn't user friendly. My ultrasounds during this entire process showed my uterus was more accessible trans abdominally. I asked for this to be included in my notes and it was. On retrieval day, they still decided to do the process transvaginally and were only able to retrieve 26% of the eggs. They scheduled me for a transabdominal retrieval the same day but it was too late at that point. The nurses I dealt with on surgery day and the phlebotomists and ultrasound team were absolute gems. I'd be remiss if I didn't acknowledge their outstanding empathy and professionalism. This is a very expensive, emotionally taxing process and I just wish this facility understood that instead of treating patients like numbers. The reviews about them operating like a giant factory are unfortunately accurate. I'm researching a smaller clinic for my next cycle.

They won't settle properly with my daughter. She paid for procedure that her insurance also paid for. They kept her funds and sent back insurance payment. Thousands of dollars out of her pocket when her insurance will cover it. How confusing and stressful. Or course my daughter paid more than the insurance company paid. So of course Boston IVF wants to keep her money instead of use of insurance.

The people are very nice and helpful. However the way they communicate with patients meaning the means only by phone is a little difficult. I wish they would allow for messages through the app.

I contacted Boston IVF after I couldn’t get an appointment with an OB/GYN for a year and I knew I needed to Be checked out with reproductive endocrinology. We had been trying to conceive for over six months with no luck. I reached out to Boston IVF in May 2022 and had an initial appointment early July of the same year and then by September all of our testing was complete and we had a plan for IVF. Our process was based on my cycle and we started the first part of treatment late November. Our egg retrieval was in December.Initially, I felt like just another number or another person to go through IVF at Boston IVF. However, as I got to know the nurses (Donna was great to work with once I spoke with her a lot during treatment) and care team members, I felt like they genuinely cared about me as a person. Dr. Brian Berger was fantastic and I highly recommend him. Initially, I didn’t care for the nurse practitioner zoom call for the first Boston IVF visit, but I did appreciate the flexibility as I live over an hour away. I would’ve liked to speak to the doctor in person, especially after our phone calls dropped out a few times, but he did call back. But I also understand that phone calls and zoom calls allow for more patients to be able to come through Boston IVF and it keeps the process moving.I will say it is very frustrating to have to call and leave a voicemail and wait for a call back, however, after going through treatment, I understand that there are important phone calls that are made earlier in the day by the staff team for treatments that needs to be given that evening. I read some of the negative reviews and a lot more about billing. It is up to you as the patient to reach out and find out about your insurance coverage. I called my insurance company multiple times before I moved forward with any treatment. I wanted to know exactly what would be covered. Initially I paid copays and lab costs to Boston IVF, but then once my medical problem was diagnosed I was reimbursed most of what was charged. I also took it upon myself to reach out to my pharmacy to find out how much the medication would be, and if there was a cheaper pharmacy that I could go.We had a successful transfer on March 3, 2023. We welcomed our son into this world on November 1, 2023. We still have a frozen embryo and look forward to working with Boston IVF when we’re ready to move forward.

For an entity whose job it is to help couples conceive a baby, their business is run like an absolute abortion. Between the disinterested Physician (Dr Pauli), the nurses who can’t be bothered to help answer questions (or answer the phone for that matter), and the billing department that is in constant disarray, it’s hard to tell if any aspect is actually run in a professional manner. Never in my life have I ever had to follow up with a physician repeatedly over multiple weeks/months to obtain simple answers. If you want to talk to an actual person, good luck. The high point of my entire experience was when we somehow got on the phone with the billing department, they were the ones to tell us that our embryo didn’t make it. Not a doctor…not a nurse…a billing coordinator. Jesus Christ…this place is a clown show and I wouldn’t recommend them to my worst enemy.

We chose Boston IVF after failing to conceive 3 times after 4 years doing IVF with different places. Boston IVF, especially Dr. Rita Sneeringer, successfully helped us to have a beautiful baby girl. Dr. Sneeringer and her medical/administrative teams were so wonderful. They helped and took care of us whenever we needed them. In fact, Dr. Sneeringer happily inserted embryo herself. We will do another IVF with Dr. Sneeringer in about 18 months.

Forever grateful for the care I received at Boston IVF. To a person, I encountered compassionate and knowledgeable staff who were fully committed to helping me become pregnant.

Not a personalized experience. Continued giving me the same treatment that was not working for several months rather than trying another medication. Only talked to the doctor a couple times over 6 months. Wasted 6 precious months and then got pregnant naturally working with a functional nutritionist.

Boston IVF, the nurses and the doctors are the best of the best. They really make what can be a challenging and difficult time a little easier. I have 3 successful IVF babies (3 under 4) and am so grateful for Boston IVF. I truly can’t say enough nice things or put into words what this places means to me and my little family. ❤️

Absolute garbage billing dept. They don’t run your card for months after hitting a snag then suddenly run THOUSANDS randomly and I can’t pay my mortgage let alone feed my kids. Thanks hajaj! Real awesome how you can’t possibly follow directions. If the money isn’t available for 1 day, that doesn’t mean you stop trying until months later and do it all at once. Psychopaths. Had a bad experience with my first doctor there and now every few months they take all my money randomly! I’ve told you to try a few days later, but you never do. You just sit on 6 months and then take it all. That is without my permission to run it all at once. Ready to file a police report on her.
