“I always find cute things in this store. The small collection is easy to browse and there is a fitting room. They primarily stock women’s items, with a small men’s collection; no children’s clothing. The store is staffed by volunteers, so they aren’t always open the hours that are posted which can be frustrating if you dove out of your way to visit (luckily I’m local). Be sure to check the math on your receipt since items are recorded and calculated by hand.”

“Disheartening to read reviews of this store expecting a mall, retail type experience. As an avid thrifter, anytime I visit this shop
I spend 2+ hours, never have I felt watched or been told I couldn't have my purse with me. Staff have always been friendly and helpful and I have found a ton of well priced items. Everything is priced according to their list, only a few things go to the case which are generally designer items, today they had Gucci and Prada shoes for $40!!! This is an insane deal! The floor is well kept, organized, and sorted by color. Unsure what people are expecting out of thrifting these days, but this continues to be one of my favorite spots to thrift.”

“Closet to closet is full of amazing treasures! The staff is super friendly and helpful and the clothes are fantastic. I love shopping for my kids here, but also love consigning with them as well. It feels good to upcycle clothes to help the environment and support local small business!!”

“My favorite hometown thrift store. I love shopping here, the selection is so fun and the staff are kind and welcoming. Donations are easy to drop off; parking is tight and space inside is limited, but they do a nice job with filling the space they have with great finds. I love how their cause supports our canine friends. They also have a punch card system for savings over time; I’ve found everything is consistently and reasonably priced. Check them out!”

“I needed some bigger clothes for the end of my pregnancy and did not want to spend a ton. This store has by far the best prices after going to many other thrift shops (salvation army, savers, goodwill, etc.). The place was well organized and they had employees going through regularly to hang up items others drop. I had a very nice experience here! I got 6 large, comfy sweaters for under $30 ??”

“I find the most awesome clothes for my toddler girl here. The clothing quality and selection is amazing. I’ll always leave with something that ends up being a huge hit with our daughter, like her giraffe costume, pop up book, cute shoes, etc. Thank you Growing Up!!!”

“I love this location! I always walk out with some fun goodies and they have such a great collection of vintage ceramics/plates. The employees are nice considering all the craziness they have to put up with but Richard is my fave guy. Def take a look if you’re ever nearby!”

“Absolutely amazing! Everything is pretty much $1. Came here with a friend when we’d just moved here from the UK, and picked up a brand new wardrobe. Staff are super lovely, tons of different things to buy from shoes to books, bags to tvs. Highly recommend, couldn’t improve what so ever. Open every other saturday 11-1pm and wednesdays 3-6pm, I make sure to go every week you never know what you’ll find! Tons of new stuff everytime, ive had designer brands and fully new labelled items.”

“The salvation army in Central square in Cambridge on Massachusetts avenue health helped a lot of people throughout the long years that they have been there in that location. I have never stayed there overnight but I have occasionally had need of a shower which they were able to accommodate and a meal from time and time and a couple times during my laundry when I didn't have any money to do them,, don't let your pride get in the way of getting some help from a place like salvation army!! You need to call at 6:00 a.m. the same day to reserve a bed if they have any if you need a place to sleep for the night. If you're going to be staying there I recommend trying to get a bed as close as possible to staff as possible, do not have any loose belongings on you when you go there as they might get stolen, if we have something of value keep it under your shirt or coat or sweater and tie it to you securely before you go to sleep..”

“Now this is what I call a thrift store! It has vintage items and you have to look for some great finds! The prices are affordable and the quantity/quality of clothes is abundant. They have trinkets as well along with a free table of stuff. The staff is also sweet and helpful. Get lost in the options!!!”

“I’ve been to a number of goodwills across the country, and this is BY FAR the best inventory. I got almost my entire wardrobe here, plus my Christmas tree. Also, the clothes turn over almost daily, so if you don’t find what you need, just come back tomorrow.

They don’t have dressing rooms, so I’d advise wearing something you can layer try-on clothes over.

Be sure not to miss the puzzles on the lower level :)”

“A rather well organized store… The toys/books section is quite huge compared to other locations I had visited. I have to say some jackets are quite expensive like $30 a piece which isn’t really justified - they look like 1950s jackets but were in fact made in the 70s or later…”

“Lots of super interesting things. The clothes do move very slowly but if you’re not going frequently it’s fine. The prices (at least for casual clothing and jewelry) are great.”

“Please be aware this is only accessible to people who have access to the Air Force Base. The hours are sporadic and the ones listed here on Google. Maps are not always accurate. Be sure to check their website. Their Facebook page is also not updated regularly so be prepared to be disappointed however, if you’re lucky enough to show up when they actually are opened, they have a great selection. It’s run by volunteers so you have to keep that in perspective.”

“*disclaimer: this is not a photo of myself but the featured outfit is something that deserves to be recognized and respected for the way it is able to withstand even the most toughest of situations.

Ladies and gentlemen they just don't make quality clothing like this anymore. These days you spend $45 on a pair of jeans and the first time you wash them your washing machine is dyed blue on the inside forever and God forbid you don't have a thigh gap, your crotch is ripping after the 3rd time wearing them. But this amazing onesie featured in this photo shows you that when life gives you lemons, you make the best damn lemonade you can because it will pay off. Have you ever seen someone wearing a onesie like this that looks like Picasso came over and painted it on before she left the house? The fact that she made it from wherever point A was all the way to point B (and possibly other places as well) and this amazing piece of fabric has not a single tear in it. Just the fact that it was able to withstand the pressure of holding on for dear life to those lips below the belt alone makes this clothing item deserve a gold medal. Just to add some context to this review, the woman featured wore this out in public while she went on a shoplifting spree for as many ingredients for making meth as possible. So you know she was in those stores moving fast and really putting that thing to the test because even though it looks like it's ready to explode into shreds with the slightest wrong move, it didn't and it looks like it has endured many days, possibly even weeks on that body. It even seems to give some support to those girls up top who definitely haven't seen a bra since the 7th grade. This is why I will always go to thrift stores for my clothing and other products. What one person sees as old rags, another person can get years of use out of, ultimately saving them from spending money that they can use for more important things, like bail money.

Don't think I didn't peep the sandals either. They deserve just as much, if not more recognition as the onesie but I'll save them for another day.”

“My sister and i started thrifting there to donate cloths for homeless and refugees. They have great selection of quality warm clothes at a decent price. The best part of it is the staff, manager Leslie is so kind and professional. the 2 other girls that work there (sorry i dont recall their name) are so lovely. I am grateful that the Salvation Army and their staff of helping us help others. Thank you, Leslie and team. You guys are the BEST :)”

“The second best used/ vintage thrift store in JP next to Boomerangs. This thrift store is huge. Clothing, furniture, housewares. Its all good. Some not so good. Dig deep, there is a lot here. Most of the workers do not speak English, but its all part of the charm. I have found some cool shirts here for nearly nothing. It is for a great cause: The Pine Street Inn charity.”

“The store has a good selection, especially for smaller sizes. However, the inability to try on clothes properly is a downside, you can only try them on over your own clothes, which isn’t ideal. Most items are hung up with hangers, unlike other Goodwill locations. Unfortunately, the cashier was not pleasant.”

“This is usually the best Savers in the area. Most of the time they have a solid selection of clothes, housewares, puzzles, etc. It's convenient that there is a dollar store in the same plaza so you can make a double-stop. Worth a visit if you are into thrifting. Can be crowded at times.”

“LOVE this store. Always my go to for affordable clothes and they often take my items when I go to sell! Trinity <3 especially is a lovely person to chat with during the selling process and I can say the same about every employee I’ve ever worked with. Truly a gem of a place, thanks to everyone who makes this store a fun and joyful experience every single time I’m in.”

“The best buffalo exchange I’ve been to - great selection, unbeatable prices, and really kind staff. I heard they are getting troll reviews that are hurting their rating - it’s a shame because this was one of my best thrifting hauls in a minute!!”
