“I came to this thrift store looking for bargains… but ended up finding top-tier customer service instead 😂 The manager? Absolute MVP. She runs the place like a pro—organized, friendly, and somehow knows where everything is (which is impressive because let’s be real… thrift stores are basically treasure hunts). And her son? Just as solid—helpful, respectful, and clearly learned from the best. The whole staff matches that same energy. Nobody’s giving you that “you’re on your own, good luck” vibe. They actually help, joke around, and make the experience feel easy and fun. 10/10 would recommend—came for cheap finds, stayed for the good vibes and great people. Might even start coming here just to say hi at this point 😄”

“Good, curated selection but the store itself is small and the racks/shelves are packed full of merchandise. It gets a bit claustrophobic if there are more than a dozen people inside. They have a dressing room but they only allow 3 items at a time. Parking is limited. I’m a much bigger fan of their location in Framingham.”

This store has by far the best prices after going to many other thrift shops (salvation army, savers, goodwill, etc.). The place was well organized and they had employees going through regularly to hang up items others drop. I had a very nice experience here! I got 6 large, comfy sweaters for under $30 ??”

“I have mixed feelings about this place. Prices are on the higher side for a thrift store but they do have 25% off days (for clothes, household stuff, etc.) so you just have to keep that in mind to make the most of your bargains. On occasion one can find a great deal - like an Aerogarden for $5. Items are well labeled. Store is clean and well organized. Staff is polite. Not enough parking. Nice neighborhood and clientelle is polite.”

Most of us go to work with one goal in mind, to take care of and improve our and our family's lives. These folks spend their time taking care of the needs of anyone who needs the help. “Very nice little shop. It's small, but not overly cluttered. It has a lot if neat knick knacks and antiques, as well as some newer stuff. It also feels like everything was in good condition, not just old junk someone doesn't want. Pricing was reasonable. The lady running the place was friendly when I asked questions. They have a punch card where if you buy enough stuff, you get a coupon for a future purchase, which is pretty neat in my opinion. Definitely worth a stop by if you're in the area!”

It was closed during pandemic and some searches may be out of date. Check it out, hidden off Brattle street in Harvard Square. If you are headed to Anthropologie or other shops in Harvard Square you might find a bagain only a few steps away.”

“Please be aware this is only accessible to people who have access to the Air Force Base. The hours are sporadic and the ones listed here on Google. Maps are not always accurate. Be sure to check their website. Their Facebook page is also not updated regularly so be prepared to be disappointed however, if you’re lucky enough to show up when they actually are opened, they have a great selection. It’s run by volunteers so you have to keep that in perspective.”

“The second best used/ vintage thrift store in JP next to Boomerangs. This thrift store is huge. Clothing, furniture, housewares. Its all good. Some not so good. Dig deep, there is a lot here. Most of the workers do not speak English, but its all part of the charm. I have found some cool shirts here for nearly nothing. It is for a great cause: The Pine Street Inn charity.”

“The salvation army in Central square in Cambridge on Massachusetts avenue health helped a lot of people throughout the long years that they have been there in that location. I have never stayed there overnight but I have occasionally had need of a shower which they were able to accommodate and a meal from time and time and a couple times during my laundry when I didn't have any money to do them,, don't let your pride get in the way of getting some help from a place like salvation army!! You need to call at 6:00 a.m. the same day to reserve a bed if they have any if you need a place to sleep for the night. If you're going to be staying there I recommend trying to get a bed as close as possible to staff as possible, do not have any loose belongings on you when you go there as they might get stolen, if we have something of value keep it under your shirt or coat or sweater and tie it to you securely before you go to sleep..”

“Years back closer to when this location opened they had the worst manager working, absolutely rotten lady. She’s long gone and now this place has the best employees I’ve seen at a goodwill. Not sure what other people’s reviews are on about ! I’ve had nothing but good experiences with the workers there, they have all been outwardly nice and friendly every time I go, at worst a couple are neutral and probably just tired. More than reasonable. Absolutely the friendliest group I’ve encountered at any goodwill ! Good vibes I’m not huge on goodwills vs other thrifts but this one is my very favorite and in my opinion the best place HP has to offer. Sooo happy I can walk here and almost always find something good.”

Also, the customer service is friendly and helpful.The store is near my house. I can take the bus. For these reasons, you should shop at Salvation Army. You get the best value for your money there.”
