About AIM Thrift Shop
AIM Thrift Shop, established in 1966 and located in the heart of Wellfleet Center on Cape Cod, is a nonprofit organization run entirely by volunteers. Since its inception, AIM has been a popular destination for those seeking a wide variety of affordable items, including clothing, jewelry, housewares, linens, toys, books/media, art, sporting equipment, small furniture, and other household or cottage items. The shop supports Outer Cape Health Services and other local nonprofits that provide healthcare, food, and housing, making it a meaningful community resource.
Customers appreciate the shop’s diverse selection and reasonable prices, with many finding unique treasures such as vintage Legos, beautiful handmade pottery, and other interesting items. Special sales, like post-Christmas discounts, offer even better deals. Visitors often enjoy the welcoming atmosphere created by friendly volunteers, though some note that prices can sometimes be higher than online options. The shop experiences rapid turnover of merchandise, so there are always new items to discover.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the shop required mask-wearing, which some customers found contentious. Nonetheless, many see supporting AIM as worthwhile, recognizing its long-standing role in the community and its contribution to local health and social services. Overall, AIM Thrift Shop remains a cherished spot for treasure hunting and supporting local causes.

AIM thrift shop is always a fun place to check out. The volunteers are friendly and helpful, and the merch is fairly priced -- higher for quality pieces and lower for run-of-the-mill. There's a bit of everything, bedding, clothing, glass, crystal and crockery, lamps and small appliances, jewelery, records, books, puzzles...

It’s smallish, but they have a great selection of some really nice clothing, as well as dishware and tableware. Lots of cool jewelry and knickknacks as well.
The dedicated staff of volunteers committed to the purpose of raising money for medical care is absolutely delightful. Staff is always friendly and helpful.

some fun pieces, but while my husband and i were browsing, we could hear the women in the back working and talking about pricing items saying that they are pricing for folks coming in who are running antique shops and reselling... not for thrifters or needy folks. their prices definitely reflected that.
