A Berkshire County gem! The samosas are so good, we had to go back the next day to get more. Delicious, non-greasy, and the tamarind sauce really takes the flavor over the top. The woman who runs the place is warm and friendly. And why are there women playing mah-jongg in the other room? Who knows--it's delightful!

Wonderful general store even with vintage creaking floors. I saw ingredients you will need for s’more in addition to lighter fluid and charcoal for the grill. Good selection of craft beer and spirits.

This store is a great find along a hilly stretch of Route 9. I was on a long distance bike trip and the owner made a delicious sandwich that helped me reach my destination. Great hospitality in an unexpected place.

We had a motorcycle mechanical failure and broke down in the parking lot. The owner was very kind and we had sandwiches and samosa. The samosas were amazing. The tow truck could not come that day so she told us to put the bike in the back and she would watch it. NEBDR riders stop here and get a samosa and support some one who supports us!

A great stop on a bicycle trip that started in Buffalo and continued east to Boston. Delicious fresh pastries, baked goods and cooked to order Samosas, prepared by the shop owner.

This may be the best convenience store on earth. Not only can you get the best samosas around, but they also sell a few really good books for not much money. I picked up a Patrick Modiano novel there last winter, the first I've read, and now I'm obsessed with his work. Incredible Indian food and great French literature in the middle of nowhere. How can it be real?

Seriously the best homemade samosas (vegetarian only) and mango lassi I have ever had outside of India. Even just the tamarind sauce is a revelation of culinary complexity all by itself. I cannot believe this quality of Indian food exists where it is located, along a quiet country road in an unassuming old country store in the Berkshires. My advice, get there early before they run out.

The owner puts a smile on my face whenever I see her. Just one of the most wonderful people you will ever meet. I’m a huge fan of her homemade rice pudding.
