Rented from them last week NEVER AGAIN ! They never have the vehicle that they allow you to rent and pay ahead of time ! Can’t keep employees because of how badly they are treated!! The COMPANY WILL Sell vehicles on the day of pick up and not informing the customer so they show up to find out they are screwed !!! Park ave Worcester mass avoid it! Side note Every employee I have dealt with has been absolutely amazing but unfortunately they quit fast and this will keep happening until the company itself changes!!

Avoid At all cost. The worst company I have ever dealt with. I had a reservation for a car. When I arrived to pick it up they did not have it. Could not accommodate me with a similar vehicle within any of the surrounding locations. They would not honor the reservation price. I sat there for hours (because I was stuck there). On and off the phone with managers that would not call me back. They wouldn't do anything at all to accommodate me. I had to cancel a very important business meeting in new jersey. Needless to say, I would never do business with this company again and I would advise that nobody else does either.

I had the worst experience of my life. I rented a non-electric car, and when I got there they wanted to give me an electric car; I had plans for the car, and I wasted my whole day trying to find another car, even though I had already reserved and paid for a non-electric car. They were so careless and didn't want to help me, and they cheated me even though I showed them that I wasn't renting an electric car. What a shame.

I had an absolutely deplorable experience at the Hertz location in Worcester, MA, and it’s all thanks to the store manager, Nixon. I reserved a mid-size Kia K4 (or similar) for my trip starting today, June 16, 2025, but upon arrival, Nixon denied me the car I booked. He claimed they didn’t have a Kia K4, despite me clearly seeing a suitable car in the parking lot. When I pointed this out, he arrogantly insisted the only option was a Tesla—a smaller car and a downgrade from my reservation.
I even offered to pay more for an upgrade to a different vehicle, hoping to resolve the issue, but Nixon flatly refused, saying, “We don’t have any car for upgrades.” His final words were a dismissive “Take the Tesla or leave.” This is the third time I’ve encountered this rude, unhelpful attitude from him, and it’s unacceptable. I shouldn’t be forced into a downgrade with no options, especially when I saw available cars and was willing to pay extra.
Charging me an additional $64 for a Tesla I didn’t want or request is outrageous, and Nixon’s condescending behavior made a stressful situation worse. Hertz, this manager is damaging your reputation. I’ve already contacted corporate to escalate this, and I urge anyone reading this to avoid this location until Nixon is held accountable. Poor service, zero flexibility, and a manager who thinks he can dictate terms—unbelievable.

Made a reservation for noon, showed up and no one was there for 30 minutes. When they finally showed up (LATE) they didn’t have the vehicle we rented. Offered no apology and no solution. Late, unprofessional, and overall a terrible experience. DO NOT GO HERE. You can get better customer service at a number of rental locations within 2 miles of this place.

I don’t understand why it is rated so low. The staff is very friendly and always helps you out to get the best car. Prices are generally higher than other hertz in the nearby area but they do have better selection

I wish I can give this place negative stars. I booked a compact car. John was the one I had the unfortunate pleasure to deal with. He insists I booked a compact SUV electric vehicle. I said I wanted a gas-powered car, you know, as in my reservation that I booked. He said of course, it would be more money per day. Shady business practice to charge a customer more money for what they intended.
I asked if he could add in my AAA discount and he said that they just don't hand out discounts and that I should have booked with AAA. The AAA has a Hertz CDP on it, but he would not honor it. Very unprofessional, not a great way to bring back repeat customers.
Worst rental experience with the car as it never could hold a charge. Always wonderful to download additional apps to locate a charging station. Then, drive 20 minutes out of my way to the charging station. I would have had to top off the vehicle once if it were a gas-powered car instead of wasting 30-45 minutes a day for a charge.
Here's the twist, I am a former Hertz employee. I worked in the Local Editions for nearly 4 years. I never once lied to a customer, gave a completely different kind of vehicle than what the reservation intended, then try to upsell to your actual reservation, nor reject any sort of discount. We used to add discounts to bring the customers back. This office needs to be investigated with their shady business tactics. Do not rent from this location whatsoever.

I recently rented a car from Hertz and the manager Nixon Andrade helped me and I couldn’t be happier with the service. From the moment I booked online, the process was smooth and user-friendly. The staff at the pickup location were professional, polite, and efficient — they had me on the road within minutes.
Highly recommend for anyone looking for reliable cars, fair pricing, and top-notch service. I’ll definitely be renting with them again!

They're worce company I ever contact with .they hold my down payment. And refused to give me back. They said it's not happened before .makes me like ball between them and bank .I full the gas ,clean car better than they give it to me .don't trust anymore.

Booked a car over a week in advance, tried calling this Hertz 2 days before the pick up date to check and see if they would in fact have the vehicle after seeing the horrible reviews. Started calling on Monday morning and took until Tuesday night for me to be able to get through to someone, once I finally did they put me on hold for over an hour and forgot and closed for the day. Finally got a return call Wednesday at 3pm (pick up time was Wednesday at 4) to let me know they didn't have any cars. Will take your booking and not notify you if they know they will not have the car in time. Total nightmare to try chase them down for answers. Book elsewhere.
